Tesla and its suppliers have secured a car lane for their own exclusive use at the US-Mexico border after Elon Musk’s electric-car maker hammered out a deal with officials in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon.
The exclusive lane, complete with a green highway sign labeled with the company’s distinctive logo, is located at the Colombia Solidarity border checkpoint near Laredo, Texas. Tesla shifted its corporate headquarters from California to Austin, Texas last year.

Under normal conditions at its busiest point of entry, the average wait time for commercial vehicles at that portion of the border is about 20 minutes, according to Bloomberg.

At least six Tesla suppliers have facilities located in Nuevo Leon – giving Elon Musk’s firm a clear reason to seek easier access to the region. Rivas indicated the Mexican state is aiming to become a hub of activity for the burgeoning electric vehicle sector.

That last lane is probably the “Doctor” Jill Breakfast Taco lane.
LOL!
Absolutely ridiculous but it serves its purpose - treat non-Tesla gasoline engine auto owners as lower class subjects.
Going or coming?........................
Dammit. Now I'm hungry.
Are you sure it's not the other way around? If Musk negotiated with Mexico for the exclusive lane, it would be the Mexican Customs entry point that the lane was created for, which is Southbound traffic.
Northbound traffic is examined by U.S. Customs.
Cartel now going to smuggle drugs in Teslas
While Tesla and its business partners has a streamlined path at the border, the company does not have exclusive privileges at US-managed crossings, according to US Customs and Border Protection.“For northbound commercial trucks at the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge, currently there are only the regular cargo lanes and the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) lane, which is for the exclusive use of companies that are enrolled in the CBP-Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program,” a CBP official told TechCrunch.
“There is no separate, dedicated lane for Tesla or any specific company,” the official added.
The Post has reached out to Tesla for further comment.
So it is only Southbound traffic with a Tesla lane.
Southbound traffic only, so the cartels will be smuggling guns into Mexico in Teslas.
A Varney watcher, huh?

Interesting Tesla note from Yesterday. I own a rental that backs up against a two-lane road. The area bordering the road isn’t accessible from the house due to a fence. Therefore, I have to walk a self-propelled mower along the road. I use the opposite side so I can watch oncoming traffic and the motor is running because I’m too old to push a dead self-propelled. I stay off the grass because I’d be cutting it and it would take forever to get where I need to go.
There are usually very few cars and drivers almost universally move slightly over the center or otherwise give me plenty of space and I give them eye contact, a smile, nod of appreciation and sometimes a friendly wave. Yesterday, the ONLY car to give me zero space was a Tesla. I was concerned about getting brushed, so I stepped off the road into thick grass to avoid getting hit. Zero eye contact with the driver as she pretended, I wasn’t there.
I think her attitude was, “Hey, I own this road. This road is for me and THAT is a polluting gas thing.” My guess from just seeing her face was she’d be unpleasant to be around.
Oh..well I have no doubt Cartels are involved. maybe they will smuggle back money and guns
Luv Stu!
The media can’t even get something this simple correct.
Northbound from Mexico into the U.S. Note the lane signs in the photo are all in Spanish. That is the Mexican side of the border.
Moronic media are perfectly content to suck up liberal pablum.
Don't ask me to explain it. Maybe they're jealous that I didn't pay nearly as much, or that mine charges a lot faster (15 to 20 minutes), or that mine is easier to get in and out of for taller people (even the Tesla-Y), or that mine is kinder to my power bill (Kia and Hyundai EV's are pretty efficient per kWh). Or maybe they don't like my southern accent for someone who's supposed to speak with "sophistication" if I drive an EV. LOL
That is NOT a Tesla in the Tesla lane in that picture.
Tell the Mexican Federales. I have no dog in the fight.
