A CONGRESSMAN was attacked with a blade while giving a speech at a campaign event in New York on Thursday night.
Photos show the chaos that ensued when someone jumped on stage, started yelling, and then pulled a sharp item on Rep Lee Zeldin.

"Someone tried to stab me on stage during this evening’s rally," Zeldin said.
"But fortunately, I was able to grab his wrist and stop him for a few moments until others tackled him."
Witnesses described seeing the attacker wrestle with Zeldin before taking out a blade.
"I’m OK, and @EspositoforNY, and all other attendees are safe," Zeldin wrote after the scuffle. He said that the attacker was in custody.
"Grateful for the attendees who stepped up quickly to assist and the law enforcement officers who quickly responded," he said.
Zeldin went back on stage and finished his remarks while thanking authorities who helped takedown the suspect.
Zeldin, a veteran who served as Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve, currently represents New York’s 1st Congressional District.
Michael Henry, who is running for New York State Attorney General, condemned the attack in a Tweet.
"Tonight a criminal jumped tried to stab my ticket-mate gubernatorial candidate, @leezeldin as he spoke about disastrous bail reform," Henry wrote.
Zeldin's spokesperson Katie Vincentz said: "Congressman Zeldin, Alison Esposito and all members of Team Zeldin are safe following tonight's attack.
"Far more must be done to make New York safe again. This is very much getting out of hand in this state."
Kathy Hochul, current Governor of New York and Zeldin's opponent, said on Twitter: "My team has informed me about the incident at Lee Zeldin's campaign event tonight.
"Relieved to hear that Congressman Zeldin was not injured and that the suspect is in custody.
"I condemn this violent behavior in the strongest terms possible — it has no place in New York."
The Sun contacted police for more information about the suspect but did not receive an immediate response.
Vincentz had more to say on crime control: "Unfortunately, Congressman Zeldin is just the latest New Yorker whose life has been affected by the out of control crime and violence in New York.
"This needs to stop! Thankfully, we still have exceptional men and women in law enforcement answering the call to protect our streets."

Hochul literally instructed her people to go intimidate him. How is this not a crime?
The Rats are responsible for this dangerous activity by these easily manipulated jerks. The Republicants better fight back and pin this rhetoric back on them and put the Rats on their heels.

Hochul calls it an “incident”. How sweet.
If it’s true that she asked her supporters to intimidate Zeldin, she needs to be called out in the most forceful terms or even arrested for incitement.
No place in America for political violence. It has to stop!
It’s some sort of “self-defense” item, supposed to look innocuous, I think. I’d like to hear from anyone who tried to take one aboard a commercial flight.

Hochul encouraged that fella. Hochul stated that zelden would spread “dangerous lies, misinformation, and his far-right agenda at these campaign”. She evidently was trying to Incite her constituents, and it appears that she accomplished her apparent goal.
The left are inciting their perpetually angry base to commit acts of violence agaisnt the right, and the angry vuolent base obliges time and time again, all while screaming about how violent the right are supposeldy.
Looks like a brass knuckle shaped like a cats head with the eyes being finger holes and the pointed ears for stabbing.
