Jill Biden spills the beans about public schools indoctrinating students
American Thinker ^ | 19 Jul, 2022 | Ned Cosby

Posted on 07/19/2022 5:16:18 AM PDT by MtnClimber

When speaking to a friendly audience—the American Federation of Teachers—Biden couldn’t resist giving the game away.

Did you hear the First Lady blow her dog whistle last week? Jill Biden, who insists on being called Doctor Jill Biden, made remarks in Boston before a gathering of America’s second-largest teachers’ union, the American Federation of Teachers. She let slip in her address something many of us have suspected for a long time. In educratspeak, she admitted that public education is really public indoctrination.

As she pandered to teachers, Biden said:

There is so much weight on all of you—but you carry it. Our schools are where policies become people. And educators are at the center of it all.

According to polls, Americans are anxious about many things in July 2022, including inflation, the invasion of illegals (which Doctor Biden’s husband encourages), the cognitive decline of her husband, crime, and the culture wars tearing our country apart. American parents and others are also concerned about what public teachers are teaching American children.

Most of us think the purpose of public education is education. Now, thanks to Doctor Jill Biden, we know that the primary purpose of education is to promote leftist policies. The first things on the agenda of educrats like Doctor Biden are…

-Green New Deal

-Advocacy of LGBTQ+ policies

-Dismissal of Patriotism in favor of Globalism

Next served is a toned-down assault on our history borrowed from Chairman Mao. In classes, educators must downplay…

-Old ideas

-Old Culture

-Old Customs

-Old Habits

And maybe a teacher will pick your child’s gender.

“public education is really public indoctrination”

Are there people who still don’t know that? Do Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy know that?

They already did a job on my 9 year old nephew, who said to his Grandfather that George Washington was a bad man because he had slaves, and Pennsylvania is a bad state because we have coal.

There certainly are teachers who go off the rails. But it’s worth noting that teachers - and teacher unions - have no power to decide what is being taught in the classroom.

Curricula is set at the school board level. And that’s where the fight should be.

Teacher unions are corrupt. And they are run by insane leftists. But when it comes to curricula, their input is neither asked for nor wanted. It’s the insane leftists on the school boards who are wrecking public education.

That is the way it is supposed to work.

Curricula is delivered on paper, education (indoctrination) is largely delivered verbally.

I'm not completely down on teachers (however administrators are particularly loathsome creatures). Many of them are swimming upstream, and got into the profession with noble intentions.

The chief problem is that public schools stand in loco parentis and that basically stacks the odds in favor of the house. Parents - wittingly or not - have handed their kids over to the state during school. The state - wittingly - runs with that power.

The state goes with the flow...society was ok with corporal punishment years ago, but not now (frankly I'd have throttled anyone who touched a little DoodleBob). Society is ok with a bunch of stuff now, and that gets approved by the administrators. The teachers have to navigate through sex ed, CRT, and (to be fair) parents more interested in dual incomes vs Johnny's grasp of algebra.

The beneficiaries of this Three-card Monty are the NEA, Zen-fascist teachers, administrators, and the handful of parents and kids who thrive in this property tax-funded environment. The rest of us - including frustrated teachers - are losers.

Every day a parent fights the educational-industrial complex is a day lost on their kids. I can spend a lifetime defending the 2nd Amendment but a parent has only so many years with a child.

The parent's best option is to simply abandon ship, and homeschool. Your child is too important to make them a pawn in this rigged game.

And, the reality is, homeschooling doesn't need to make up 90% of the nation...at some point the percentage becomes a minority that punches above its weight. We are seeing it now.

If homeschooling alumni want to fight the good fight, go for it...I've had the debate that all we need to do is reform schools, make teachers accountable, take back the PTA blah blah blah. The reality is, as long as there is demand fueled by the commanding mindset that "we gotta collectively educate the kidz or else, ya know, remember Sputnik and how other nations' kidz are better at geography," the taxes will stay and we are stuck.

The question that must be asked is ‘Who are they”?

Is one or all BLACK?

I’m doing that myself, by asking him questions about the Founding Fathers every time I see him. He lives in NJ, and I’m in PA, so I don’t see him often.

I don’t know who the teacher is. I live in PA, and my Nephew is in the NJ school system.

Those children’s books by Rush should be given, and read, to every kid.

True. But the problem today is that the curricula itself is full of indoctrination. Some lefty teachers embrace that junk. Some resist it. And woe to the teacher who is caught straying from the party line.

Side note: I taught chemistry and physics at urban public schools for decades. Near the end of my career nonsensical woke junk began to seep into my subjects.

I ignored it, mainly because the lefty administrators who observed me knew zero about chemistry and physics. Sure, they could - and did - criticize me on the smaller stuff. But they never could get me on anything big.

I took an early retirement. And here’s one thing I’m sure of. Had I stayed, the would have eventually fired me.

His Mother would never let those books in the house. Despite the best efforts of my Father, my Sister grew up to be a leftist.

I just retired from teaching. I never allowed woke crap to enter my class, but the administration was getting aggressive. I actually had two antifa members appear at one of my classes. I asked the administrators to do something and they refused. So, I badgered them into debating me. They left.
