NBA star LeBron James recently spoke out about WNBA player Brittney Griner who recently pleaded guilty to drug possession and smuggling charges in Russia.
Griner was stopped at a Russian airport for allegedly having cannabis oil vape cartridges in her luggage, which is illegal in the country and carries a penalty of 10 years in prison.
NBA star LeBron James shockingly said she should rethink whether she even wants to come home to America. “Now, how can she feel like America has her back?” James said. “I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?’”
Fellow NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom slammed James for his comments. “”You are free to leave buddy or you can even volunteer for an exchange for her,” Kanter Freedom said. “Some people literally have NO idea what is it like to live in a dictatorship.”
This certainly isn’t the first time that James has made anti-American statements.
Kanter unleashed a tweet that takes LeBron apart:

I’m not a big fan of her being held there, but she really
screwed up when she thought she could pull the same get
out of jail cards there, that she thinks she could here.
Russia has laws on the books, and people going into that
nation need to abide by them. If you don’t, you wind up
like this.

C’mon, is anyone here really shocked?
Reminds me of that American kid that was vandalizing cars in Singapore. The same people crying about Griner were in an uproar when that kid was sentenced to a caning. The media left out the little detail that a car was a substantial and expensive investment to a Singaporean, and were pretty presumptive regarding that Singapore is sovereign country.

Yes Dumbron, ponder whether you would even want to return to the US and a life of celebrity and wealth for being a sports entertainer, versus staying in Russia as an unknown, imprisoned black dopehead with no career and pathetic life prospects, in a country with racism that would shame Selma in the 1920’s. James is free to move to his adored China, and I’m sure they would embrace him, and his whole team there. Take Griner with him too. (But make sure (s)HE doesn’t have any dope when you go through China Customs inspection.
