A dental trend known as 'Turkey teeth' that involves travelling abroad to get drastic cut-price treatment is leaving thousands of Britons facing painful complications. The latest cosmetic fad, made popular by stars like Katie Price and Love Island's Jack Fincham, involves filing down teeth to pegs then replacing them with crowns or veneers.

So British teeth is bad
And British Turkey teeth is horrible
I can’t say I have ever seen a Brit with perfect teeth, but I guess it could happen. Maybe one day, they will invent the toothbrush!

Soft enamel runs in the family. By my early 20s I had to have a similar procedure done on all my front teeth on the top because my real teeth were chipping and breaking. That was 30 years ago. The porcelain crowns are better looking and harder than my real teeth ever were. The only problem is one fell off in the sink when brushing my teeth about 10 years ago. The dentist just glued it back on the next day and no problems since.
Thank god for modern dentistry.
We are gonna rivsl UK teeth pretty soon as dental centers are sending out letters that “due to shortages” they are “no longer doing extractions or filling cavities” and now are only doing x-rays, Cleanings, and some other things. Thanks to vaccine requirements, and long ,ay offs due to being shut down during pandemic, dental offices can’t afford to keep, doing the work they once did apparently. So pretty soon we will look like, the uk.
My girlfriend there absolutely did. Austin Powers covered this appropriately but IMO it’s the water. I lived in a WW2 era building in the countryside and the plumbing was gross and you could chew the water. I credit that for the vein blockage in my arm and subsequent heart attack.
Where and when? Sources, please.
I got a letter Informing me of it 3 weeks ago.
“I can’t say I have ever seen a Brit with perfect teeth”
Practically all people appearing on tv — the professionals, contestants, people interviewed — have very white, perfect or near perfect teeth?
Something fishy here. Do you suppose there are ways of electronically enhancing teeth? Kinda like how they paste in the scrimmage lines in football games.
Here is a forum discussing the evolving trend

Note you can still get it done, but will have to search out ones that actuslly do the extractions. My dental health xenter informed me they are no longer doing them
I am thankful that I have good dental coverage. I’m getting my annual cleaning next Tuesday. They are not the Hollywood fake straight teeth (a lot of actors have fake teeth), but they are heathy.
Is this in a blue state? I just had a deep clean and a cavity filled a couple of weeks ago.
There were at least two people there that day getting extractions.

Did you check the glass by their bed , LOL
Yes, blue state. I. Now have to find a place that will do them.
I made an appointment almost a year ago to have a cavity filled, and they said thst they were filled up but woild call as soon as an opening beczme available. They never did (and I didn’t think to call them unfortunstely) then I get the letter about the dental health network not offering them anymore because of shortage issues (can’t remeber exactly how they worded it). I could push the issue and ask why they never called, but pretty sure it was because some of the employees there refused the vaccines and were let go, leading to the shortage.
Sounds like the Turkish “dentists” get too close to the nerve during the crown prep. Some folks will probably need root canals, now.
