‘For 1.3% of 3% of 0.04% of the atmosphere, we’re going to commit economic suicide’…
Twatter via Revolver News ^ | July 12, 2022 | James Melville

If you don’t want to watch the video on twatter then here is a synopsis. It appears to be a debate in Australia. A typical, low-IQ, fugly female climate change advocate is slaughtered by an old white man. He asks what percentage of the atmosphere consists of CO2. The female as no idea, she isn’t a scientist. It is 0.04%. Of that, only 3% is man made CO2. And of that, Australia produces 1.3%. For that, the fugly wench wants to ruin Australia’s economy.

You're probably right that the NOAA doesn't cook the books on the atmospheric content of CO2 but only because it would be easy for others to check. If they could I think they would.

NOAA Temperature Adjustments Correlate Exactly with the Rise in CO2 - Big Surprise

Thermometers show the US cooling since about 1920, but NOAA massively cools the past to create the appearance of a warming trend. These adjustments make a spectacular hockey stick of data tampering. When plotted against atmospheric CO2, the correlation is almost perfect. NOAA is tampering with the data exactly to match their theory.

NOAA Radiosonde Data Shows No Warming For 58 Years March 7, 2016

NOAA Fiddles With Climate Data To Erase The 15-Year Global Warming ‘Hiatus’ 6/4/2015

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists have found a solution to the 15-year “pause” in global warming: They “adjusted” the hiatus in warming out of the temperature record. New climate data by NOAA scientists doubles the warming trend since the late 1990s by adjusting pre-hiatus temperatures downward and inflating temperatures in more recent years.

GISS US tampering.

NOAA = Fake Science!

Someone posted a pie graph of the makeup of the atmosphere. It was perfect. If they see this, I hope they post it again.

In the meantime...google...pie graph...atmosphere. Many available. It'll be a wakeup call.

The one good thing about them growing up in liberal la-la land is that we got to sit around the dinner table every night and deprogram them. Using the liberal stuff as examples on how NOT to do things.

They survived their college years and are still staunch conservatives.

It’s even worse than those numbers. If you got rid of 100% of CO2 all plants would die, so they really want us to go back to .03% of the atmosphere versus.04%.

So the calculation is It is 0.04%. Of that, only 3% is man made CO2. And of that, Australia produces 1.3%. AND OF THAT only 25@% is above historic norms.

LOL I’m glad you enjoyed doing that. Nightly deprogramming might drive some parents crazy.

Seriously though, the contrasting information would make for a much better educated student. Something universities allegedly used to do long long ago.

If you got rid of all CO2 we would all die. The O2 half of the equation seems to get overlooked somehow.

And to think there a company in Iceland working to suck co2 out of the atmosphere

Gee, it almost sounds like CO2 is a trace element and really much of anything, considering trace elements are just along for the ride y definition.

For the record, the rebuttal for CLIMATE DUMBASSES from a US perspective is:

“For 13% of 3% of 0.04% of the atmosphere, we’re going to commit economic suicide.”

(Yes, almost exactly 10x that of Australia. I did the math ;-) )

It’s not about the environment.

It’s about a-holes grasping for control.

I wish I could find a horticultural/plant physiology video I watched last winter. Sometimes real science just kinda slips out. The video discussed basic photosynthesis needs for growing plants indoors. Obviously, CO2 is an input to photosynthesis. For some reason the lecturing professor wanted to emphasize how little CO2 is in the atmosphere. He demonstrates this by small balls representing elements/molecules in large, same sized glass containers. Nitrogen huge. Oxygen huge. CO2 itty bitty. (Yes, that is unit of measure lol) While I already knew the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere, that visualization was good enough for me to remember. Every school kid should see that, WITHOUT any climate change, end of the planet BS.

All terrestrial life on erf dies if CO2 levels dips below 160 PPM. We have a cushion which "man-made" CO2 is helping.

Just wondering - since CO2 is heavier than O2 or N2, is its distribution weighted to different atmospheric heights?

Satellite observations show carbon dioxide in the air can be somewhat patchy, with high concentrations in some places and lower concentrations in others. For instance, the map below shows carbon dioxide levels for May 2013 in the mid-troposphere, the part of the atmosphere where most weather occurs. At the time there was more carbon dioxide in the northern hemisphere because crops, grasses, and trees hadn’t greened up yet and absorbed some of the gas. The transport and distribution of CO2 throughout the atmosphere is controlled by the jet stream, large weather systems, and other large-scale atmospheric circulations. This patchiness has raised interesting questions about how carbon dioxide is transported from one part of the atmosphere to another – both horizontally and vertically. In this animation from NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio, big plumes of carbon dioxide stream from cities in North America, Asia, and Europe. They also rise from areas with active crop fires or wildfires. Yet these plumes quickly get mixed as they rise and encounter high-altitude winds. In the visualization, reds and yellows show regions of higher than average CO2, while blues show regions lower than average. The pulsing of the data is caused by the day/night cycle of plant photosynthesis at the ground. This view highlights carbon dioxide emissions from crop fires in South America and Africa. The carbon dioxide can be transported over long distances, but notice how mountains can block the flow of the gas. Source

Thanks for the answer.

Only one little nitpick: I can’t get the link to open. Would you be so kind as to check it?

From what you describe, I’d love to see those maps.

Thanks again

Yes - that works.
