“ Myrkl’s unique formulation is made of proprietary fermented rice brans which contain carefully selected and cultivated high-performing bacteria (Bacillus coagulans and Bacillus subtilis), B12 vitamin (recognised by the European Food Safety Agency and the US Food Drug Administration to help boost immunity and energy levels), L-Cysteine (recognised to alleviate alcohol hangover symptoms) and Dextrin (a natural thickening agent).”
My son is in the UK now and returns in a week. I sent him the info in case he’s interested. Ya never know.
And he didn’t get pregnant!
I’m not a scientist but..there is probably a reason one gets hangovers.
At the very least it’s telling your body you have over did it.
A looong time ago I figured out how to end all hangovers. I do not get drunk. Works every time, guaranteed.
There is a fool proof, risk free hangover miracle - sobriety.
On the surface, doesn’t seem like a great idea as it presumably encourages more drinking binges.
Kind of like GMO corn encouraging the lathering on of ever more Roundup.
I have a “miracle” hangover remedy.
It’s called only have a drink or two, then stop.
Hey bartender! Know how to make a Red-Eye?
One unit of alcohol (UK) is defined as 10 millilitres (8 grams) of pure alcohol.[2][3] Typical drinks (i.e., typical quantities or servings of common alcoholic drinks) may contain 1–3 units of alcohol.[3]
Containers of alcoholic drinks sold directly to UK consumers are normally labelled to indicate the number of units of alcohol in a typical serving (optional) and in the full container (can or bottle), as well as information about responsible drinking.[4]
As an approximate guideline, a typical healthy adult can metabolise (break down) about one unit of alcohol per hour,[3] although this may vary depending on sex, age, weight, health and many other factors.

The true test for Myrkl would be in the morning when I had to drag myself into the office after six hours sleep and nine drinks the night before.

Here is a better idea. Don’t have *nine* drinks.
I used to drink heavily. I found that if you will eat and drink water before turning in, you rarely have a hangover.
Interesting stuff. Aside from hangover woes, I think the best thing to come out of this is that it might reduce the number of folks who get surprised by a DUI. The limits are so low, a light weight person can blow it even if not sloshed. Those that have accidents tend to be blowing high 1s or even over 2, but the limits are around .6 I think. The state over does this in the same way they acted w/masks et al for covid.
There’s always a certain percentage of folks that will get a ticket in a given day whether they’re drinking or not. If they happen to have had a drink right before that ticket, they are likely to have an added DUI. The state has turned this into quite a racket, with charges for monitors et al.
So if you’re what I’d call a “normal” drinker, I’d recommend using this even if you’re just planning on having one with dinner, just to allow you to process and avoid the state’s DUI trap.
On the other hand, for addicts like me (clean 23 years now), I’m not sure what would happen with this. Once I started, I would not stop until I fell over or just got too tired and went to bed (which is why I never had a drink at lunch - that one would set the course to ruin the day). Needless to say, I did this at home beginning in the evening because I knew myself well enough to know I’d always be one of those blowing over 2 when caught.
So I think for addicts this may not help too much. My guess is that my addiction would be smart enough to detect what was happening and I’d be inclined to pound down even faster, to end up with the same “result”, or after going to sleep without being fully satiated by my evening binge I’d start to want to drink during the day which would lead to even worse trouble. The bottom line with addicts is that the beast must be satiated and you cannot fool it (and the beast will certainly fool you when you think you’re being clever).
The only other risk I see with this product is when there is a problem with a manufacturing lot. If a bunch of packs hit the shelves that happen not to work as it normally would, then there will be a risk of alcohol poisoning when someone starts to really pound them down thinking they’ll be cool. This’d be most likely to happen at college where such activity is a bit more acceptable. A “normal” drinker wouldn’t dare act like that at the office xmas party.
This would be a great way to get the vaccine into a lot of otherwise reluctant people. No thanks.
A better idea is to consume in moderation, recognizing the harmful effects of alcohol.
If he didn’t wake up thinking he was now a woman demanding others use different pronouns to address him then it can’t be all bad.
