Is the world's air travel industry deliberately being driven to collapse?
American Thinker ^ | 07/05/2022 | Andrea Widburg

In America, Pete Buttigieg is proving to be the most incompetent secretary of transportation in American history.  Confronted with thousands of canceled flights, he offers tips about how to value cash refunds compared to refunds in the form of miles.  That's bad.  What's worse is that a writer for a trend site claims to have talked with European insiders and learned that the problem with flights is not limited to America; it's worldwide and deliberate.

You can read here about Buttigieg's tin-eared response at the start of the July 4 weekend when it came to canceled flights.  For travelers, the weekend ultimately proved to be a nightmare:

More than 10,000 flights were delayed and nearly 1,000 were canceled total this holiday weekend.

Approximately 20% of the flights were delayed and 2.8% were canceled — a staggering number of cancelations and delays due to staffing shortages yet Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg remains silent.

Here's the breakdown of canceled and delayed flights for the entire Fourth of July weekend:

More than 300 flights were canceled across the US by Thursday evening as the airline industry prepared for July 4 "Airmageddon."

By Saturday afternoon, more than 600 flights were canceled and 5,893 more were delayed — this means 28.8% of all flights were either canceled or delayed.

An additional 900 flights were delayed and more than 200 were canceled as of Sunday afternoon.

You'll note that I used the word "incompetent" in the first paragraph to describe Buttigieg's conduct.  But what if that's the wrong word?  What if what's happening isn't a matter of competence but is, instead, by design?

The Usual Suspects would be only to happy to have humanity return to the transportation modes of 120 years ago. Except for the wealthy and powerful, of course.

All forms of transportation are being destroyed.

Is he up to the job? He seems not to be aware of the problems, or have any solutions to implement.

I posted this on a similar thread last week ...

If I was an airline CEO I would eliminate 50% of our flights and sell all the seats on the remaining ones through an auction process. All tickets would be guaranteed, and no flights would be overbooked.

My goal would be to eliminate most discretionary travelers and only serve passengers who really need to fly.

??? Funny you should call the most successful saboteurs in history incompetents. The incompetents accepted the voter fraud that appointed them.

The industry DOES owe the public an answer as to how they spent the tens of $billions of government Covid-relief-stimulus they recieved.

To me the airlines are only due 1/2 the answer.

The rest of the answer belongs to Congress - what accountability requirements did they attach to the money they gave the airlines? I expect that answer is most likely none.

That would be a step in the right direction if you want to end up with a system favored by tbe glowbullists.

And, tourism to Hawaii would be hit hard.

I don't know what globalism has to do with anything I've proposed.

And I would suggest that any place that relies on "tourism" for its economic well-being may not be viable by any objective measure.

If you have to ask the Question, Andrea, the answer is more than likely YES.

I’ve lived in Hawaii, for the past twenty two years.
Hawaii isn’t viable. The largest employer is the government.
It is a single party state ruled by Oligarchs.
Served by the poor lower classes.

Which Congressional bureaucrats handed over all that stimulus/Coof money? Who benefits from the collapse, coming and going, of any national industry? Supply Chain, Food Distribution, Energy, Defense contracts?

Which of these bureaucrats are invested in airline and airline-connected stocks, bonds and funds?

Which PedoClown_TheWhore regime cabinet members (Buttgieg et al) are also invested in airline stocks, bonds and funds?

Always follow the money. Always. Just as in the 2008 mortgage collapse, there were clear winners (a few) and losers (so many).

But "investigative journalism" sold itself for 30 pieces of silver.

To the glowbullists, useless eaters are also useless flyers; a serious reduction is what they desire.
