One of Tinseltown's biggest and most iconic stars was tossed out of a car, beaten and bloodied after a horrifying night when he was threatened with castration and death. He told a friend he was "p***ing blood" and was so traumatised "I sh** my pants." Hollywood, especially in the glorious Golden Age, has been filled with famous feuds and affairs – often connected and often ending very badly. Brando, who died on July 1, and Sinatra were probably fairly typical of leading men in their era, both with voracious sexual appetites (the former notoriously for women and men). However, one of them also had terrifying connections which escalated their clash to terrifying levels. The Brando biography Unzipped by Darwin Porter reports his close friend Carlo Fiore's account of a night when the star disappeared while out riding his motorbike. Fiore was woken at 2am and rushed downstairs to find the actor in great distress.

Fiore said: "He looked like he'd just visited hell and escaped with his life...

I have been watching the old Batman series. Apparently Sinatra wanted one of the villian roles and was so mad that they wouldn’t cast him that he refused to play anything else.

Don’t remember which one he wanted. I think it was the Joker

"Apparently Brando told him he had been "accosted" by three men when he had visited a rest stop."

Visited a rest stop?

I seriously doubt it he stopped there because he needed to urinate. Sounds like a gay bashing incident to me.

btw, Brando made it to the Johnny Depp trial in an epic moment by a bizarre witness that caused Depp to face palm.

Apparently, Marlon Brando does not wear an earpiece because he is dead.

Mark Steyn loved “Guys and Dolls”. I think it is one of the worst musicals of the era. One memorable song (Luck Be a Lady Tonight”) and a stupid story. Brando was completely miscast. Sinatra, a much better singer than actor, wasn’t that much in his element. No chemistry. No real drama. Not much humor.

Now that it turns out that Brando gets beaten up and Sinatra’s wife acted in a scandalous way, I can only say it figures. Worst ju-ju since “The Conqueror”.

“Brando, who died on July 1, and Sinatra were probably fairly typical of leading men in their era, both with voracious sexual appetites (the former notoriously for women and men).”

The same can be said about ‘women and men’ for Burt Lancaster. Supposedly, Rock Hudson and Burt Lancaster made it OK to be a faq in Hollywood.

My understanding of Frank Sinatra’s connection to the mob was that he was feeding them a lot of cash in exchange for high profile gigs. His ability to send them a lot of money is why he was protected by the mob, not because he was really doing anything nefarious.

They had a symbiotic relationship. They’d find him high paying gigs and he would send them a decent percentage of the pay.

At least that is what I have been able to find you.

"He looked like he'd just visited hell and escaped with his life.

That's how I looked the first time I heard Brando crock out Luck Be a Lady Tonight. I had to listen to Sinatra's version on Live at the Sands to wipe away Brando's vocal nightmare.

Brando did deserve a beating for that alone.

He doesn’t come across as a good agent of chaos.
He might have made a decent Riddler, however.
Maybe even as good as Gorshin.
