The Treachery of VP Mike Pence Explained Who fired General Flynn and started the Russia Hoax in the first place?

“How come the Democrats and … Republicans, like Wacky Susan Collins, are desperately trying to pass legislation that will not allow the vice-president to change the results of the election?

“Actually, what they are saying, is that Mike Pence did have the right to change the outcome, and they now want to take that right away. Unfortunately, he didn’t exercise that power. He could have overturned the election!”

It’s time for Republican voters to admit that they had no idea who Mike Pence was. Don’t be too upset with yourself. He fooled plenty of people. The man you thought he was — that guy doesn’t really exist. It’s time you paid much closer attention to your favorite politicians though— if you want your country to survive.

I dont blame Pence. The VP role is very limited.

I DO blame the State Legislatures who did not exercise the ENUMERATED Constitutional authority to address election fruad.

Pence did not have the authority to overturn results of election all by himself. But he could have POSTPONED accepting results from certain states with which had evidence of voter fraud (2000 mules has video documentation) and initiated steps to investigate claims of fraud.

yes, I thought Pence did a very good job as Veep...
but he needlessly failed to save Free Elections and the Validity of our votes. Plus, he went on to insult President Trump, the very man who gave him his national political opportunity... and who appears to have never done anything wrong towards Pence or the country.

I, for one, will never trust or support Pence again.

I gave it same serious thought but I'm going to opt out of your group. Appreciate the invitation though. Your goals seem righteous.

Maybe. But if the indictment of Pence is based off of the people he hired for his staff, then Trump is no less guilty. They both hired swamp creatures.

If those were the only electoral vote certificates the VP received from your state, I'm not so sure he would have the authority to throw them in the garbage.

Either way, it's still an example of a VP using his implicit Constitutional powers to make a decision.

The founders were creating a working blueprint of power, not pomp and circumstance rituals without meaning.

It's worth noting that the process of counting electoral votes HAS become somewhat more "ceremonial" over time simply because modern communications have made some of the constitutional processes little more than formalities that reflect what is already well known.

The 12th Amendment was drafted at a time when electoral votes were certified by the states and then delivered to Congress by someone traveling on foot or on horseback. This process could take weeks. They didn't even have telegraphs back then to transmit news ahead of time.

Today, the process of counting electoral votes has become largely ceremonial simply because the electoral vote certification process that is done in each state on the same day (December 14th) is done in a public manner, and the results transmitted around the world instantly.

Bullcrap. You apparently believe his only role is to be a tabulator. I don’t know why you believe this so fervently, but you are wrong. As a foreigner it might be hard to understand, but it’s true. He did have power do do much more than he did.
He made zero effort, and would have faced no negative consequences had he made an effort.

He is a swamp creature, always worked against Trump, and his final service to the DC party was to convey Trump out of office.

Uh, no.

Let's see what happens in January 2025 when Kamala Harris POSTPONES accepting the results from certain states ... for about four years.

Apparently he is an idiot, if he thinks Pence had the power to do something about Marc Elias’s lawfare shenanigans that led to the election fraud. That crap should have been stopped at the court where Elias was doing his damage against state election laws, months and months before.

But Trump the germophobe was tricked into responding massively to the covid panic that was ultimately used as the excuse for mail in balloting. Not sure how much choice Trump had, in that if he had done like his predecessor Obama did with SARS, etc., the media would have crucified him for not acting, just as they did with Bush in Katrina even though Bush’s response was good.

The Qidiocy at the Capitol, just played into Pelosi’s hands, and was probably a Robert Creamer style false flag production at least iinitially... we know CNN and other media paid leftwing Judas goats to get things rolling, knowing that any crowd of people can be caught up in the excitement of the moment into doing things that as individuals, they wouldn’t do. They hired window breakers and cheerleaders- so what, people saw others doing it and in the heat of thinking they were being “betrayed” the numbnuts went along and behaved like The fools they were, making their candidate look bad by association. The left has a long history of paying actors in costume to soil their opponents through guilt-by-imaginary association, and if they are willing to wear Klan costumes to a papa Bush rally they they are willing to troll websites by pretending to be cobservatives calling everyone on our side a backstabber or worse, whatever it takes to keep us sniping at each other or sitting things out if Mr. Perfect or Jesus Christ isn’t running.

Dividing us by this perpetual nitpicking, equating every difference of opinion as some kind of imaginary betrayal, is the only hope the left has to defeat us, and this constant eating of our own only makes it easier for them, as Reagan pointed out when he - who was likewise fought tooth and nail by Rockefeller Republicans- when he said “Font let perfect be the enemy of good.” Crying “backstabber” whenever you fail to persuade someone to agree with you never benefits us in any way, but certainly does benefit our opponents.

I'm no fan of Mike Pence, but the idea that the sitting VP of the United States has the authority to unilaterally overturn an election -- or even impose his will on the process of counting electoral votes -- is ludicrous.

Even if your statement is 100% correct - and as I'm no Constitutional scholar, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt - that is still no reason for Pence to certify a fraudulent election.

If Mike Pence was the honorable man most of us thought he was, he would have resigned his office instead of just going along with the certification of a fraudulent election.

Now many may argue that the outcome would not have changed but what a statement that would make. It would definitely have opened some eyes had Pence made such a bold move. He would go down in history as a man who stuck to his principles instead of a coward.

Pence resigning would have thrown the entire plan to steal the election into chaos. It just might have been enough to trigger a second look at what went on in those battleground states that stopped counting votes in the middle of the night while ballots were "found" to put Biden over the top. When the film "2000 Mules" came out documenting how the election was stolen, Pence would have come out as the hero instead of a chump who stood by and allowed the steal to happen.

When Pence put his stamp of approval on the election results, he became part of the steal.

So no, I am not giving Mike Pence a pass because he was "just going along" with the process. He had the opportunity to throw a monkey wrench and expose the whole thing.

The knock on Pence has always been that he is a deep state coward. That proved to be true after the 20 “election”. You can bet your house that if Kamala were in the same circumstance she would not take the dive Pence did.

You couldn’t get me to certify an election that I believed contained demonstrable irregularities. PA said as much and asked that it be sent back, and that’s exactly what should have been done.

Bullcrap. You apparently believe his only role is to be a tabulator. I don’t know why you believe this so fervently, but you are wrong.

Here's the exact text of the 12th Amendment, dude. The highlighted items are mine.

The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate; the President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted. The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President ...

1. The VP's role is to be a "tabulator." It says nothing about certifying or making any determination about the electoral vote certificates. It says they should be COUNTED.

2. I believe this so fervently because that's what it says very clearly. I'm not sure why that's so hard for anyone to grasp.

No court had ordered electors be returned. No court had found any evidence of fraud.

No court had looked at any evidence. All "courts" used their usual bullsh*t "standing" dodge to avoid doing anything.

The way you present it is deliberately misleading. You imply that courts actually heard evidence and ruled against doing anything.
