Disney’s upcoming adventure film “Strange World” will feature a gay teen romance — the first in an animated feature produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film, which is scheduled to open on Nov. 23, will follow three generations of a family of explorers and take viewers “to a place of infinite mystery unlike anything you’ve ever seen,” according to a trailer released by the studio earlier this month.
Several Hollywood powerhouses have been confirmed as part of the voice cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Gabrielle Union, Lucy Liu, Dennis Quaid and Jaboukie Young-White. On Friday, Disney screened three sequences from the film at the 2022 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, one of the world’s most important festivals for the film animation industry that takes place in the city of Annecy, in southeast France.
In one of them, Ethan (Young-White) flirts with a boy named Diazo in front of his friends, who tease him in a friendly way. His father, Searcher Clade (Gyllenhaal), later joins in and embarrasses him in “an overeager show of acceptance,” as the scene is described by Variety.
Emmy Award-winning producer Matthieu Saghezchi, who also saw the sequence, wrote on Twitter that the scene is “very endearing” and it’s “treated as the most natural thing in the world.”
“The scene describes the son being very shy in front of his boy crush, and his dad comes in and says “so nice to meet you! my son talks about you all the time” and further embarrasses his son,” Saghezchi wrote. “Very cute.” The refreshing nod to inclusivity comes as “Lightyear,” the much-anticipated “Toy Story” spinoff, was reportedly banned in 14 countries over a brief same-sex kiss.
The Disney-Pixar computer-animated adventure film starring Chris Evans as the voice of Buzz Lightyear features a kiss between Alisha, voiced by the actress Uzo Aduba, and her wife Kiko. On Monday, the United Arab Emirates announced that the film would not be shown in the country “due to its violation of the country’s media standards.”
The United Methodist Church,... because SECRETLY molesting boys is so old-fashioned.
Yes... but you did get that I was referencing Strange New World, not New World Order, right?
Where no man has, or boy, has gone before?.................
I don’t think that is what they are pounding?
If you go to Disney World, if you have a Disney+ account, if you pay to see a Disney movie, then you are directly responsible for this stuff.
If you stay at Universal property, you get the fast pass for free.
Oh shucks... I was thinking of Brave New World.
Haven’t been to anything Disney since The 90’s.......................
And you can walk to Universal in 10 minutes from your room. Much better deal than Disney.
What is the age of consent for hiding the animated salami?
Wow, that was not the case when we were there; but I got a huge discount for a 3-Day pass for ~$150, so that probably meant that I was ineligible for the FastPass. But, considering everything, the ~$90 we paid per day for the pass, it was money well spent. My wife was looking online, and they say that they include 'x' passes with some of the resorts. Universal might not have the polish on the rides that Disney is noted for; but bang for the buck - it's not even close.
They never learn, do they? They never learn and they always double down.

Ah, but there’s the transition point in the song that the poofters don’t like: “... there’s so much perversion here, the Lord’s return must be near! Since it’s His world after all! ...”
“to a place of infinite mystery unlike anything you’ve ever seen,”
Uranus?
Exploring strange new worlds where no man, or boy, has ever gone before.........................
Projected storyline, for next Disney blockbuster: 3 gay men(?) and 3 trans-women, on a space ship to “populate” Mars!
will follow three generations of a family...
At least it ends there.
My wife stumbled on a documentary of Back to the Future a little while back and Disney passed on it since it was going to be PG and there was the scene where Marty’s mom had the hots for him the in past. How things have changed.
