BTW-Cornyn will be gone in ‘26. Texas republicans need to force him out 2 years early so his successor can get an incumbent jump when the full term is up. Give him a cabinet post. A department ripe to close.

Good. Red flag laws are an affront to liberty. I think anyone proposing them should be required to include equal provisions for every right listed in the constitution and the bill of rights. So if somebody can seek a red flag seizure of guns someone else can seek a red flag seizure of books, or newspapers, or religious facilities, or the imposition of other attacks on people's liberty without due process. How would voters in San Francisco react to a Red Flag law to prevent the unnecessary risk of death for unborn children?

Hopefully that would teach politicians how dumb the idea of red flag laws is.

Taking away people's rights without due process is wrong, period.

That is exactly true. This is not the case of management supporting Republicans vs. labor supporting Democrats of the 1970’s yet all red-blooded Americans.

There are Democrats out there who have been openly calling for violence against conservatives and Republicans (those are not necessarily the same thing), sometimes going so far as to call for murder.

As we speak they are openly breaking the law by protesting outside justices homes trying to influence court opinion. Oh, and including trying to kill one of them.

There really is no room for compromise; too many conservatives will not disarm because they know what the left will do to them and their families once that happens.
