What would it look like if America split? Is it possible for the United States of America to separate into two countries in less than fifty years?

The overwhelming evidence present in the public domain today strongly suggests that the United States of America will separate into two countries in less than fifty years.

Here is the scenario concept. The conservative and progressive sides of America today see each other as a lifeguard and a drowning victim. Neither side will keep the other from drowning when push comes to shove. The only option is for the lifeguard to let go of the drowning victim. This event is the physical separation. The conceptual separation has been playing out for about three decades.

The topics of abortion, gun rights, balanced budgets, central bank digital currencies, immigration, and free speech, either alone or together, can all be set aside with assurance they are not the reasons for the pending dissolution of the country. The single reason for the U.S. going into parts is free choice.

The U.S. will not change to a bordered country such as the Soviet Union, since geography has 50% of its border bound by water and the other 50% absent of both a northern and southern border. Ask Canada and Mexico how immigration control is going for them lately. It is unlikely there will be mass deporting of citizens due to the risk of those deported coming back with a vengeance, helped by whatever country accepts them. Ask Germany and Russia how that worked out for them during World War II.

A recent venture capitalist article indicates how geography, demographics, and capitalism intersect to likely help form the two new countries.

A country needs two tangible components to survive: trade and defense. Trade for all material things necessary to exist in both war and peace. Defense for continuance during and after an armed conflict.

Starts with Texas secession. It would be legal. They could then deport their illegals.

The divisions are not between states, they are literally between neighborhoods.

To make this division possible (which I support, BTW), it would require some large amounts of migration to create contiguous regions. The number of those regions would probably number 4-6.

In any case, coexisting in the same country as the zombie Left is untenable.

Most blue areas are the metro areas.

Cities now have more people than whole states did when they were formed. Like state rights, it's time to expand city rights. Grant big cities unlimited power of taxation and regulation, within city limits. While slower than a hydrogen bomb going off over downtown, nothing would destroy leftism more completely than giving leftists unlimited rope with which to hang themselves.

In 1,000 years there will be a collapsed statue of Biden like the Ozymandias statue in Shelley's poem

Divide at the Mississippi River. Liberals choose Doesn’t matter Which side that take....whichever they take will be a shithole in short order. Conservatives can make either section successful

BullShiite ... It would be strategically sound to let the liberals collect themselves into the big city hives and then isolate them economically as well as physically. Let them preach their beliefs to each other ad nauseam. If they get violent, cut off their food and water. After a few weeks of eating each other, they will quiet down.

How do you secede? Every State has blue and red areas. It wouldn’t be contiguous like The Confederacy.

Secession is political thing. If a state (OR A GROUP OF STATES ) secedes it assumes the role of a federal govt. That's it. That is the only change. Most people wouldn't notice the change because the federal govt. is not in their daily life. People still get to vote. There would be red and blue areas and that would not change but the blue would have a political majority in blue states and red in red states. Which is good thing. Right now four or five LIBERAL cities control the politics of the entire nation of 330 million!!! That is bullsh!t.

Look at Israel. Palestinians get to vote in Israel. Did you know that? 1/4 of Israel population is Muslim or "other" religion. There are "Palestinian" areas in Israel. Get it?

Is this guy stupid?

The overwhelming evidence present in the public domain today strongly suggests that the United States of America will separate into two countries in less than fifty years.

Nowhere in his writing does he consider the individual States.
He lumps all 50 States into one imaginary whole and then splits that to form his "two countries".

A more likely outcome, IMO, is the dissolution of the current
Union and the creation of new unions or confederations.

I'm not a Texan because I'm an American,
I'm an American because I'm a Texan.

Exactamundo. Lincoln’s war for money and empire - and its attendant overthrow of the original constitution - created the mess we now have.

Why would the constitution have to have a provision to allow states to leave? States never agreed to delegate to the new federal government they created the power to prevent a state from leaving.

The 9th amendment basically says you can’t argue a right does not exist just because we didn’t list it specifically.

The 10th amendment says all powers not delegated to the federal government are reserved by the states.

At the time of ratification of the constitution, 3 states specifically reserved the right to unilaterally secede. That included the 2 largest states New York and Virginia which were the leaders of their respective regions.

That’s hardly surprising given that the 13 colonies seceded from the British Empire just 8 years earlier.
