“FWIW, I think they are over priced.”

Really. Last week we got a hamburger, cheesburger, and one order of small fries.

Got a little jingling change from our $25. Good food but expensive. Only two of us in the place, and six people behind the counter, probably at $15/hour.

He’s in his 20’s.

I’ve had to rush him to the ER a couple times because of peanuts.

The worst incident I had where I didn't accidentally ingest it was going to this "fusion restaurant" that my girlfriend at the time insisted I HAD to try and was a "surprise". I thought I explained to her my issues well enough, but she didn't get it and the fusion was Thai food, which they famously cook in peanut oil. It was a poorly ventilated dump and after 5 minutes my eyes started stinging and I broke out in hives and had to leave.

Needless to say, it didn't work out between us.

No, there are seems to be a “significant amount” of freepers who don’t believe that every individual who wishes to restrict everyone’s rights for the wishes of one is wrong and probably impossible.
Let me ask, does this girl ever go out in public when not traveling?

Unless she lives in a bubble at home and wears a hazmat suit Everywhere, she will, at times be within 20-30 feet of someone “who may have” been around or had eaten a peanut butter sandwich!
(estimated distance between the 10 rows on her airliner and the passenger)

Is the world supposed to give up peanuts?

“I mean, maybe it’s hysteria, but is it really THAT IMPORTANT to eat peanuts? Be a little considerate.....”

Sounds very much like what the mask and vax Nazis were saying to rationalize all people conforming to hysterical hypochondriacs.

Give me one example of how Carter was even remotely involved in any significant numbers of deaths in this world and try to justify and compare that against LBJ‘s war which led to 50,000+ Americans dead.

Carter allowed and even encouraged for the Shah of Iran to be overthrown to be replaced by a government of religious nutjob fanatics hostile to the United States.

Carter's government advised the Iranian officers corps to lay down their arms and accept the new government. All these men that followed that advice were murdered by the incoming regime.

Carter refused to intercede on the Shah's behalf with American air power or ground forces. Carter chose to do this because he had a fundamental lack of understanding of the evil nature of Shia Islam and it's proponents in Iran.

As a result of Carter throwing Iran away, (and I can provide further proof that Jimmy the Idiot Carter did indeed throw Iran away) Iran became an enemy of the United States. Previously it was regarded as a strong ally in a very critical region of the world.

Iraq was also at the time regarded as a strong ally of the United States. Since Iran was now perceived world wide as an enemy of the United State, Saddam Hussein in Iraq thought he could take advantage of the situation without having to worry about American intervention in a war with Iran. (I wouldn't be surprised if the stupid Carter Administration gave him permission in much the same way the Bush administration gave him permission to invade Kuwait. )

Saddam Hussein felt that all the chaos and upheaval in Iran would make them vulnerable to an attack from his forces in which he could take over their territory. They had initial success, but it soon ground down to a trench warfare stalemate in which neither side could gain any advantage.

Without Iran becoming a hostile power to the US, this invasion by Iraqi forces would never have happened.

A million people died in that war directly, and we don't know how many died as an indirect of that war.

That's one aspect of the botch that was Carter. Here's another and worse aspect.

Iran triggered a world wide Islamic revolution. Islamic countries that had previously been docile were suddenly roused to anger and hatred and a desire to attack "infidels." Iran began funding Islamic terrorist world wide, and the expansion of Shia teachings around the world induced the Sunnis in Saudi Arabia to agitate for their own Maddrassas to teach Sunni Islamist doctrine around the world.

The terrorist attacks world wide since the 1979 are mainly the consequence of Carter allowing Iran to go Islamic.

That's the second aspect of the Carter botch of the situation.

The last, and potentially most deadly aspect of Jimmy Carter is the "return of the Mahdi." The particular branch of Shia Islam that the leadership of Iran adheres too believes that it is their duty to bring about world wide destruction, because this will result in the return of the hidden prophet known as the "Mahdi", and he will destroy all infidels and enemies of Islam and make peace on earth forever.

They interpret this as needing to take action to trigger the return of the Mahdi, and they believe the best way to do this is to acquire atomic bombs and to start a nuclear war. (Most likely striking Israel first.)

They believe that if they are destroyed by nuclear fire, they will be martyrs and Allah will bring them back to life and give them great rewards.

They are a cult like "heavens gate" and they will have absolutely no qualms about launching nuclear weapons to start a world war. They absolutely cannot be allowed to develop atomic weaponry, but the fact that they are doing so is entirely the fault of Mr Peanut idiot.

So yeah, the million that has already died because of Carter, and the potentially billions that *MAY* die because of Carter, would seemingly make him a good contender for "Worst President Ever."

But that's just how I see things.

Believe me, I would like to give more detailed on various points about how Carter f***ed up Iran and other things, but I am getting weary just typing what i've typed so far. There is so much that can be said about how Carter botched everything, that I simply don't have the stamina to go through it all.

Also, I've known several men who were stationed in Iran when the revolution happened, and what they have to say about Jimmy Carter cannot be printed on a family oriented website.

Ah, so he’s still young. I know I used to worry my parents going off on my own, but I managed. Knock on wood it has been over 10 years since I last had to go to the ER.

Not true. See my post above. Most airlines don’t serve peanuts anymore. No one here knows if this airline did or not.

’People with “peanut allergies” are crazy, and so are those who “smack” people .’

Two year old children are not crazy because they go into Anaphylactic Shock in the presence of allergens.

As well, if a person with a bomb came to sit in proximity of you and your family, or your Neighbor's, it would be yourself who is the crazy one for not effectively dealing with the problem.

See post 383.

To blame Jimmy Carter for all the Islamic terrorism that has occurred in the last 40 years is really no different than blaming Donald Trump for the millions of Covid deaths.

They were both president at the time these calamities began. And because Trump supported (and still supports) vaccines, your logic demands that Trump be directly responsible for the hundreds of thousands of vaccine related deaths here in the US alone.

As mentioned, many airlines already ban or do not serve peanuts. I am curious to know if this airline, this flight did serve peanuts and whether the Mom was under the impression that they did or did not serve them.

As a medical doctor....oh, wait, you are not a medical doctor. Never mind.

As if medical doctors knew significantly more than laymen about the causes of allergies.

You should study the history of medicine. It is hilarious. They start out wrong, sometimes they get even more wrong, and eventually an upstart tells them they are all wrong, they work hard to discredit the upstart, but eventually the upstart is proved to be correct and what they all believed previously is just wrong. Rinse and repeat for the last several hundred years.

Blood letting, Miasma, "Bad Air", Phrenology, leeches, plague masks, literally blowing smoke up people's @$$es.

Medical history would be a comedy if it wasn't such a tragedy, and they are STILL DOING IT TODAY!

Masks, experimental gene therapy, boosters, and so forth.

As Max Planck remarked. "Science advances one funeral at a time."

It was just in the 1990s that a doctor finally discovered Ulcers are caused by bacteria. Prior to that, the medical community though they were caused by stress and eating habits. Did they embrace this guy's ideas? No, they called him a fool and fought tooth and nail to prevent him from being taken seriously.

:)

He gave us the terrorist state of Iran. 40 years of murder.

Much more succinct than my answer, but I did point out that 1 million men died as a result of the Iraq/Iran war, which wouldn't have happened without Carter being a blockhead. (or criminal. I've read some alarming stuff about that.)

God, your ignorance of history is appalling. First you knew very little about LBJ as you thought Carter was worse than him. Now you know nothing of Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower and their involvement leading up to the Vietnam war.

No it’s not medically the same argument. And, most of those with the most severe peanut allergies are children. Normal people will skip eating peanuts to prevent a child from potentially dying.

A lot of us were not ‘conforming to hypochondriacs’. We were following the dictates of our workplaces, businesses we frequent, etc. in order to carry on with life.
