Could be worse?
Indian cuisine is usually time intensive.
A friend says, beware when the wife is always using a pressure cooker to speed things along...

Did it ever occur to the man to cook his own meals?

That’s the difference between India and Pakistan. In Pakistan she would have been beheaded in the name of allah.

Is this Guy helpless ? Can’t make food for himself ?

That’s a lot of sodium. His blood pressure probably rivaled that of the hydraulic systems do jet aircraft.

That’s the kind of wives’ relleious attitude that has helped dysfunction and disharmony in the home and a gozillion divorces.

Maybe the question is how much money did he give his wife for food.

Not his job. No indication in the article that the wife works outside the home.
Also no indication as to whether he provides enough money to do better.
He should have married Connie Corleone, both would have been better off. (Not to mention Sonny.)

My dad always complained about how my mom made his
soft-boiled eggs - either too runny or else overdone.
After one morning after my dad's yelling, mom said:
"You don't like the way I make your soft-boiled eggs?
Fine. You make them yourself from now on. I'll cook you
anything else that you want, but NOT soft-boiled eggs.
You want 'em? YOU cook 'em."
And he did.
Breakfast times were harmonious after that, until my
dad's passing at age 89.
