The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously Wednesday to ban the sale of flavored tobacco products.
The ban, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2023, ends the sale of flavored e-cigarettes, menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars.
The ordinance does not ban the possession or use of flavored tobacco for those aged 21 and older.

The FDA has proposed new rules that ban the manufacture and sale of menthol cigarettes and all flavored cigars. FDA is taking public comments through July 5 and will then make a final decision on the regulations.
The nearby Indian casino/smoke shops will be happy to accommodate their needs.

Unless they are taking public comments via graffiti spray painted on vacant buildings or mass transit, I think the menthol smoking crowd will probably remain unheard.
And they give away Free Needles and Crack Pipes all over the city at the same time. How frikkin Morally Bankrupt can one be!!

I quit 42 years ago. One of the stupidest things to do.
I don’t mind who smokes, I mind who those who directly impose on others. (We all do things that may end up costing society so a smoker’s proclivity to illness is a common denominator.)

Interesting factoid—the state with the highest percentage of menthol cigarette smokers (out of total cigarette smokers) is....

The dirty little secret, is that vaping, is not federally/State taxed, like tobacco is. That is why they are banning it. It’s all about the $$$$.

When I was young and had a place in Orlando, the city had no beer sales on Sunday. We drove 1/2 mile into the county and bought our beer.
No we were young and didn’t think ahead, and we drank a lot in those days.
Granted LA is larger, but just go elsewhere and get it. These politicos are so full of their own self righteousness that they truly have no clue about the real world.
