Speaking as a native of New Jersey, I can say that I definitely agree that not all muslims are terrorists. Only some of them are. All of the rest of them provide money and support them and their cause but don't actually pull the triggers.

Some Muslims define “peace” as that condition which is attained when the last infidel is either converted or killed, such that the remaining population on Earth is 100% Muslim. Not necessarily every Muslim employs this definition, but, probably at least several million do. That’s not many out of 1.7 billion, but, it’s also not “just a few”. And it may be many more than that.
The meanings of “freedom” and “safety” may also be similarly different from what non-Muslims think of those terms.
