Women in the United States continue to earn less than men, on average. Among full-time, year-round workers in 2019, women’s median annual earnings were 82% those of men.
The gender wage gap is narrower among younger workers nationally, and the gap varies across geographical areas. In fact, in 22 of 250 U.S. metropolitan areas, women under the age of 30 earn the same amount as or more than their male counterparts, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of Census Bureau data.

Being at war with the opposite gender does this. And destroys the birth rate.
They earn less for totally unsurprising reasons.
Men work more overtime.
Men work hazardous and dangerous jobs that pay a higher wage/salary.
Men take less sick days and vacation time.
Men take less personal and mental health days. Men get fired for that kind of crap.
Men are more likely to volunteer for extra work hours. Or they are expected to by default just cover them by the company.
Men dont take maternity leave. If they do take some time off for a baby its far less time than mom.
Men negotiate better for raises.
And we are now in an out of control economy that is fixing to crash and burn. Coinkidink?
Well, they will throw a temper tantrum if you don’t pay them extra.
Wow! I wonder where I can earn me some men?!
They make good cougars. That’s all I messed with.
Those young men are dropping out of society and only taking care of themselves.
How does the wage gap look when you account for differences in experience?
Oh. It disappears.
It seems men do not take years away from the job to have and raise kids while many women do.
Apparently you have to go out to earn some men. Not sure about old men, but definitely the young ones.
🤣😆😜😂
I was hired by a company on the same day as a woman. Several years later she insisted that we disclosed each others’ salary. We made exactly the same amount, but I’m sure it was just out of fear that the company would get sued. I was a much better worker than she was. Really. No really, I was.
How do you prove you’re a better worker in front of a judge. Cheaper to pay equal.
Yeah, and I didn’t really know what she did all the time except gossip in the break room, gossip in the break room, and gossip in the break room. All I did was work, work, work. I swear that girl was the queen of gossip in the place.
Society has no need of men anymore. Women have no need of men. There is no reason for women to marry.
The very foundation of civilization is the man, woman, child nuclear family. That is being destroyed by every force the government has to bring to bear.
We are looking at complete societal collapse in 30 years or less. Probably much less.
Complain to the boss and they’ll rest it. You’re only making them work. It becomes your problem twice. It is what it is. Some folks suggested document everything. Gets consuming.
I came to work every day and the company basically dared us to quit. That was the treatment.
And recent studies also have found that women in college tend to major in feel-good fields that don't pay spit.
Anyone here remember comparable worth? Looney Tunes?
because young men cant get jobs
The situation, discrimination, and bias against men was SO BAD, um, 25 plus 8… 33 years ago that one young couple resorted to the plan that she would only accept a job at a place that also hired her fiancée…
DuPont hired them both.
And then broke company policy by putting them in the same small work group.
The marriage went sour, so those team meetings got tense.
And operator came sniffing around and she eventually married him after divorcing her husband.
But even back then, women commanded a premium in the Chemical Engineering new hires.
So they can sod off with their fake ‘gender bias’ claims. (Made by lumping in secretaries etc)
