The difference between me and you is that I have spent two years watching Russian vloggers. I know exactly what Russia is like.
Russia is a conservative version of Canada. Yes, there isn't as much free speech as there is in this country. But, they also don't have riots that rip apart cities, either.
Putin is billed in Russia as the "last Christian leader standing" and given that Russia is spending $2.5 billion a year building churches, it's a fair claim. But, Putin is also the most prominent conservative leader in the world.

It says the characteristics of the destroyed vehicles indicate they're BMP-1 an old Soviet amphibious vehicle no longer in active service by Russia but still in use by the Ukies.
Considering that there were several days worth of back and forth battles over this river crossing, its really not surprising that both sides vehicles got destroyed.

They only way that will happen is if Russia carries out its threats of retaliation, in which case NATO Charter Article 5 gets invoked. Russia would have to be the dumb one, not Poland or the Baltic States.
Go check out official RGF pages and try to find any group that is listed as BTG.
You will not find it in the Naval Infantry, VKF, Ground Forces or National Guard terminology.
Can you provide links to Official Russian Ground or Aerospace Forces and I'll check it out.
If they are offline there is still the internet archive.

If Poland or any other NATO country send troops into Ukraine against Russia there is no NATO protection, just like Turkey fights in Syria without such protection.
Poland has already been talking about sending "peace-keeping" forces into Western Ukraine and both Ukraine and Poland have signed legislation giving their respective citizens rights in each others countries, so its not as far fetched a scenario as some might think.
I'd also caution you on thinking that invoking Article 5 automatically requires the other NATO countries to join the fight...it doesn't, and I'm not sure how many countries would come to the aid of say Lithuania if they got into a border dispute with Belarus, or Lativa in a dispute with with Russia.
The United States and their lapdog the UK are very good at lying to other countries about what they will do under such circumstances, but when push comes to shove there is lots of wiggle room in the NATO charter.

I did that. That's where I found these, all written before the invasion, by sources who would know, including Shoigu. The only source I know of who says Russia does not use BTGs is Defense Politics Asia, which is a one blogger show out of Singapore. He reads from both sides evenhandedly, and has a more informed political commentary, he is no military policy expert either. I'm pretty sure he knows less about Russian military organization than Shoigu himself, the Rand Corporation, or officers of the U.S. Army analyzing Russian forces.

As I said earlier, Sergey Shoigu never served in the Russian Army in any capacity and wears commemorative coins as medals on his fake uniform. He floated the idea of BTG and was over ruled. The RGF has undergone a tremendous reorganization in the past 4-5 years, so all of your links are out of date.
Dead issue in the RGF.
