The US neocons and CIA have been deeply meddling in Ukraine for the last 20+ years. They WANTED the present war

“Failing now means Putin will salami slice his way into NATO. “

I don’t know about that.

His display of conventional military power hasn’t been exactly a shining star - something to fear by NATO, or at least the US. But for the possession of nuclear weapons, and his using them against NATO to achieve the salami would be suicidal. Putin doesn’t appear to be that insane.

Levin is a deep state liberal. Always has been. He Rants for Ratings, but he never takes a side to do anything about it.

I also believe Russia has to be paying a large price for taking Ukraine,

Russia is not "taking Ukraine". With a Ukraine defeat Dunbas remains independent, as they declared eight years ago.

There is a reason why the globalists are throwing so much money and muscle in Ukraine. It s there hub for all of their activities that affect the outside world.

I’m still shaking my damn head at people who are backing Biden and the globalist’s “Russia! Russia! Russia!” act.

>Putin’s army is nothing compared to Stalin’s formidable Red Army.<

I don’t agree about US intervening physically, but I agree that Putin’s army is not Stalin’s in 1945.

However, Stalin got his army that way in 1945 after a brutal war with Germany to be a kind of ultimate survival of the fittest test.

What I see here is a window of demographics for Russia. They have to advance while they have manpower to do it. The Russian military needed a serious combat theater in order to hammer off all the slag in their war machine. What that military will look like in 5-10 years if the Russian economy strengthens will be terrifying. It might not be as large as Stalin’s but it will be the kind of military which has learned in the school of actual modern combat, against opponents assisted by US intelligence.

I have no idea what we are hearing from Ukraine is the truth, one day we hear Ukraine is kicking ass, now we hear that Russia is on the verge of victory.

Gee, how could that be?

It's almost as though there were something like the tides of war. You know: With ebbs and flows.

Isn't war a linear process, with, from the outset, one side simply marching from victory to victory? Isn't that how WWII proceeded?

Someone please educate me here!

Regards,

I don’t seriously think Putin will stop there if he has the military to take Ukraine outright.

Does Ukraine’s defeat in the Donbas mean they could not stop the Russian westward movement to Kiev? I don’t think so, especially if no peace accord is reached after completing the Donbas takeover.

Russia has always been a conquering Eurasian nation, always. What gives Putin a second thought about taking over historical Ukraine from the “Nazi’s.”

“Your analysis does not include the Wuhan lab or the involvement of Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, in the Ukraine under the guise of NATO expansion. These “extracurricular activities” have more bearing on the current situation than NATO’s historical roll, in my view.”

The more I study history, the more I realize things that happened that weren’t known at the time happened but didn’t affect the outcomes. There is a huge, grand sweep of events; wars, famines, diseases and then, all the tiny elements contributed by every participant. No one element, no matter how good or how damning, would have affected the grand sweep outcome. For example, here’s a link to some fascinating information on American companies who helped and profited by helping Hitler. I was stunned. But, still, they, like Hillary, probably had no effect on the larger picture in the long run. Like Hillary, their contribution was probably a lot more dead people than might have occurred otherwise. See link.

Another thing I’m shocked by is the number of companies who have pulled out of Russia at a great cost to the bottom line. That was unexpected. Because of this never-before-seen solidarity, we have a significant chance to do enough damage to Russia to create peace for a long time to come. If we fail to take advantage of this moment, it may never come again.

This is confusing...everything I read says Ukraine is kicking Russia’s ass.

Putin has lost 100’s of Generals...figuratively...every day, it seems another General is blown away.

And yet...

Go to Resorts around the world. You see average Russians vacationing.

Wrong!

You will find "average" Russians at cheap resorts in Russia's blizhnyeye zarubezh'ye (peripheral foreign countries - chiefly the most-backward former Warsaw Pact countries) - stuffing themselves at the buffet and generally behaving egregiously.

At upscale resorts farther abroad, you will find novyi russkie (parvenu New Russians). They are the ones already "in cahoots" with corrupt structures to acquire and maintain their wealth.

And then there are the Oligarchs...

No no no Mark.

Ukraine won this fight almost a month ago!

Russia has no tanks, troops, or generals left.

FReepers who cherish The Daily Mail assured us of all this.

Putin is humiliated, dying, weak, and chasing young boys.

Right on, what does Levin being Jewish have to do with anything? While there’s nothing wrong with hating globalists and neocon warmongers, antisemitism is a lightning rod for God’s wrath.

instead of making this look like the US vs Russia?

That only looks that way to you if you're just watching Russian propaganda and ignoring the UK, France, virtually the entire European Union except shithole Germany, Hungary, and Italy, all of the Eastern stations (Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Estonia), South Korea, Japan, Australia, etc.

There are even former Japanese SDF members fighting as volunteers in Ukraine.

As for the UN, I've never given a damn about the worthless UN, but as it happens, the general assembly already voted against Russia and demanded the end of hostilities in Ukraine. I don't think more than that is possible unless Russia is removed from the UN, along with the ChiComs.

I am not sure how much world support you need to see before stopping with the "it's the US vs. Russia" nonsense.
