Record-high meat prices are having a chilling effect on summer-grilling demand in the US
With costs for ground beef and chicken breasts at all-time highs, consumers have few alternatives to switch to different proteins -- so some may skip them entirely.
The US Memorial Day holiday on Monday is considered the unofficial opening of the outdoor grilling season, and the surging costs are pointing to a disappointing start. Price pain in meat comes after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine stalled crop exports in the Black Sea, pushing up the costs of animal feed. Even prices for propane used to power grills have soared.

Thanks!

Nah, sausage!

Pre-made dough, sauce and prepped toppings make it so easy.
Which is why today I am cooking TWO turkeys that I stockpiled since Thanksgiving. 59 cents/lb. One turkey I am smoking as I normally do and the other turkey I cut into parts and cooking it sous vide. Never did the latter so curious as to how it will turn out.
Folks,
This is all marketing. The grilling pizza ovens you are seeing now have been a while in the research, development, manufacturing and advertising process.
Grilling is a fashion industry with something new needed all the time.
Just like blm and all the other lefty projects.
