Joe Biden’s baby formula shortage has hit the city of Milwaukee so badly “babies have been admitted to [the] emergency room for malnutrition,” reports TMJ4.
“It is true that we’ve seen babies hospitalized because they don’t have enough formula, or they’ve made homemade formula that aren’t meeting their nutrient needs, and they’re experiencing things like malnutrition,” Jennifer Crouse, the Clinical Nutrition Manager with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin told TMJ4. “This is something that’s harming kids because we don’t have enough supply on the market.”
And we don’t have enough supply on the market because His Fraudulency Joe Biden is more concerned with pronouns than ensuring America’s children have enough to eat

The more dependent folks are on supply chain, the easier they are to scare. Babies dying of malnutrition because grocery stores are out, is stupidity on the parents part. Recipes abound and whole milk works too. That these things are ‘disinformation’ is ridiculous.
I think anyone with an IQ above 90 and half an oz of initiative could find a recipe and prepare a reasonable baby formula.
Something like this. https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/childrens-health/formula-homemade-baby-formula/
And healthy fats would not be removed and replaced with vegetable fat.
I'm a dude..and my wife and I had two kids...and my wife breast fed them. Until they could transition to juices and food..........
They never had formula....
BREAKING BOMBSHELL! There are no titties in Milwaukee!
Film at eleven
I breastfed my 4 kids in the late 1990s early 2000s. I worked p/t and pumped. I think it would be tough to work full time and pump. Breastfeeding has been presented as a choice but a real problem is the non “laptop class” women needing to work full time outside the home. They can’t breastfeed as easily as pumping is less efficient than actual breastfeeding (get less milk).
This crisis does show that the choice of formula as a substitute is not an innocuous one. Human breast milk is a superior product and doesn’t have supply chain issues and best of all is free.
I am not a woman but I do know there are many instances where women cannot breast feed and having made the decision not to they can not just decide to start. My understanding is once the milk stops, it stops for that kid. Another pregnancy can restart the milk production process.
Some women...a lot of them cannot produce enough milk to feed their children...thats why many communities had wet nurses in the past.
And finally, some kids simply cannot eat regular milk. They have to have formula and some of those are pretty precise in what they deliver.
FJB and his tribe of heathens caused this. Its been a totally manufactured crisis since the beginning, as most of our shortages and issues are. All deliberately caused and orchestrated.
You ARE the one who brought up breast-feeding. I don’t see that Glennaro mentioned it at all.
And if you already knew the answer to something that he/she didn’t even ask - an answer you were fishing for - why didn’t you just post it yourself?
Regarding being well-stocked: this is something everyone who ‘preps’ at all should think about. But some types of formula have much shorter shelf-lives compared to others, and people need to be aware of the shelf-life of what they’re using. Also keep on top of recalls.
Babies get into a rut.
Their digestive systems go haywire and parents (let’s just say moms) have to move fast and wisely to get them specialized formulas that supply their babies with the nutrition they need to develop and grow in the crucial few minths if life outside the womb.
Once that mom figures out what specific formula is necessary to keep her baby fed, she ignores every other formula while she hunts like an apex predator for that specific formula.
If that specific formula is not available, what else can be said, other than: All hell breaks loose. The babies of those moms are in dire straits and can easily end up in the ER.
When a baby is not keeping down what you are feeding them, it’s not as if you can force the issue with that baby. The baby’s body is in charge, and will buck no argument. Their bodies can end up being the most finicky things. High end Jaguars that need that high octane fuel, or the wheels start falling off.
There are some legitimate cases where a woman cannot breast feed but it is rarer than some people would like you to think.
Since this has become an issue, a few weeks ago when it was being noticed, every single woman who is giving birth needs to be completely informed about the formula situation and the need to breast feed, which includes coaching from an experienced lactation consultant and at least a few weeks of occasional follow up to make sure everything is still going smoothly.
Since it’s pretty obvious the government is not going to do anything about the formula shortage soon, and it seems pretty clear that it is behind it in the first place, counting on a supply of formula these days is foolish.
As many women as possible ought to be nursing, which would leave plenty of formula for those who can’t for various reasons, which include: just not being able to produce milk, sickness, medical treatment, foster parents, and adoptees, to name a few.
IMO, “convenience” is not a legitimate reason.
crime against humanity
Blame WIC and the overly corrupt welfare state/system for this manufactured crisis of baby formula.
All three big manufacturers of formula get a huge cut from fedgov and little worry of competition.
Good employment opportunities for wet nurses.
Oh, come on HG.
It helps to laugh sometimes, but other times, sobriety and empathy is needed.
Actually, doing both, alternating feedings between breast milk and formula is not advised. It can actually cause more problems than it solves, which include triggering serious food allergies, especially to milk.
That has been known for years (actually decades) and I have a friend whose son was the result of that.
The baby is better off just switching over completely from breastmilk to only formula, than to alternate feedings between the two.
I was reading where WIC accounts for 50% of the formula purchased.
AND - it sounds like each state comes to an agreement with one of the three producers on what brand they will cover with WIC. (Sounds like my insurance plan - “Oh, you have to go to Doctor B, Doctor A isn’t covered on your plan.”)
So then the stores carry a bunch of the WIC covered brand, but not much of the others. That probably accounts why some states are hit harder by the closing of the Abbott plant.
And until a hundred years ago, before there WAS such
a thing a “baby formula”, every baby died a slow horrible
death from starvation, which is why there are no more
humans on the Earth today.
Thus endeth the human race, Aman and Amen. Pass the plate.
“With Money’ is a rather relative term in a time of severe inflation. Lots of people who earn too much for programs like WIC are still struggling to make ends meet.
And lots of infants are difficult to feed - they have various allergies to some formulas. I’ve heard many people talk lately of how difficult it was to find THE ONE that their baby could tolerate.
Also, it’s another case where you have to be wary of the expiration dates on the products.
A vassal state of Russia? Have you lost your mind?
I think its much more than 50%.
Abbott, Meade-Johnson, and Nestle own 98% of the baby formula market.
Some states are SOL because of this.
Regardless, it’s manufactured and corrupt. What else is new?
We used to use cows milk and survived quite well on it. How stupid can a parent be? Forget I asked.
