Former first lady Melania Trump has slammed Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, for never putting her on the cover when her husband was president, in her first interview since leaving the White House.
Fox Nation host Pete Hegseth raised the topic in his sit down with Melania, noting that first ladies Jill Biden, Michelle Obama, and Hillary Clinton have all appeared on the cover of Vogue and that Vice President Kamala Harris got the honor even before she was sworn in.
“They’re biased and they have likes and dislikes, and it’s so obvious. And I think American people and everyone sees it. It was their decision, and I have much more important things to do—and I did in the White House—than being on the cover of Vogue,” Melania said.

I think the whole matter is stupid. She should celebrate getting to the US, marrying Trump, and get on with her life.
Hardly a slam, just an acknowledgment of a fact. Why does everything have to be so sensationalized?
That’s either a manaquin or a one of those sex change critters.
Yeah. I love the Trumps, but, unfortunately, this comes across as sour grapes imho.
I remember when people on Freerepublic not only read the articles before commenting, but many of their comments actually added information to the article. I liked it better that way.
Vague had to go with Big Mike, to hell with the hypocrisy of putting a man on the cover.
The agenda was and is everything.
Read the article not the headline
I don’t hold it against Michelle that she was a homely frump. But the fact that these magazines hailed her as the second coming of Jackie while not featuring the REAL second coming of Jackie (actually better, IMO) is disgusting. No “fashion” magazine should be taken seriously after that.
Well of course. A true style icon. Melania can’t compare with lovely Lynn.
I love that picture more each time I see it.
Melania Trump is very beautiful, and Big Mike and Jill Alice Cooper Biden know they could never measure up to that beauty. That was why the so-called fashion magazines excluded Trump while fawning over Mike and Alice.
Yup
Well said

What she said wasn’t a “slam” in any way. She stated a fact and that’s all. The title is high drama and stupid.
Amen. Now it’s all about “Amish” or “the usual suspects”, and who can make up the cutesiest name for the libs, and who can make up the most gruesome punishment for some criminal or politician, and going on threads just to comment that they don’t care about topic of the thread. That and the doom and gloomers and the despair trolls. It’s become so predictable and shallow it’s a far cry from the intelligent comments and witty repartee that attracted so many here.
Then in a July 2019 podcast interview with The Economist’s Anne McElvoy, Wintour refused to even acknowledge Melania as the first lady. Asked to name something in Mrs. Trump’s wardrobe that she admires, Wintour offered this response: “Well, I think First Lady Michelle Obama was really so incredible in every decision she made about fashion. She supported young American designers. She supported designers, indeed, from all over the world. She was the best ambassador this country could possibly have, in many ways, obviously way beyond fashion... ”
When McElvoy cut in to remind Wintour, “But she’s not the First Lady now. What about the one you have now?”
“And for me, she is the example I admire,” Wintour finished.
Other Republican first ladies, including both Laura and Barbara Bush, were denied the chance of a Vogue cover.
Well, she’s right…but isn’t Vogue the one that is featuring that hideous photo of the “pregnant man”? Melania is better off not being anywhere near it.
