Even though you might have liked it in the olden days, what do you think about this now?
If they keep it on the download and don’t try to over act and include a lot of gratuitous over the top action scenes it should be good.
Just keep it subtle and smart.
Libgressive fantasy of being even remotely relevant. Besides, PT 2’s are never as good. ๐ธ๐จ๐๐
I’m a big fan of the original, and of the Chris Guest mockumentary series that followed.
This is a Bad Idea.
Iโm a huge Spinal Tap fan. The Folksmen was hilarious as well. They opened for Spinal Tap on one of their tours years ago. Iโll keep an eye on this for sure.
Not his own.
I loved the original. I have a bad feeling that this will be a mashup of all of the bits and jokes that didn’t make the cut the first time. Also, these guys are really getting up there in age to be playing fake rock stars. Part of the bit 38 years ago was that they were washed up back then. This looks like a disaster in the making.
Big bottom...
Big bottom...
Talk about mud flaps my girls got ‘em!!!
Hollywood is out of ideas.
“I shant play with him anymore”
“HELLO CLEVELAND!!!”
Mental illness and genius always go hand-in-hand. Take Mel Gibson as an example on the other side.
I own it on DVD and it is a favorite. I think a sequel would be less music centric and more “where are they now” centric. Maybe jamming in the basement of the apartment building one of them lives in. ๐คฃ
I wonder if they will get the Stonehenge props right this time.
Absolutely love the original, but I can’t help but think Meathead is going to slip some wokeness into this one and ruin it.
My guess is that it only goes to about 6.5.
It was a total cult classic.
Unfortunately, with Meathead returning, I have no hope at all that it won’t be a trivialized left-wing trope.
“We’re not gonna go into a free flowing jam in front of a festival crowd.”
“Boston isn’t much of a college town.”
“Our Stonehenge is in danger of being trampled by a dwarf.”
Not all movies need a sequel.
I wonder who the drummer will be?
It could be awesome. Christopher Guest is brilliant, I love most of his movies. Heavy metal is a vastly different world now, they could do a lot with Spinal Tap changing to try to be relevant, or getting the “grand old man” treatment.
Might as well make “Flipper: The Movie”, or a remake of ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’. I have zero interest in this, though I loved the original at a point in time.
I also don’t want to do anything that in any way profits people who are out to destroy my way of life.
The new movie will have amazing sound quality, it’s being done in Dubly.
