Scaremongering Scarborough: Republicans Could Use Alito Opinion To Ban Interracial Marriage Is In Danger
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 05/10/2022 7:42:02 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough repeatedly argued that if the Alito opinion is adopted, it can be used to undo a variety of other Supreme Court rulings.

In particular, in addition to rulings striking down restrictions on contraception, and upholding gay marriage, Scarborough thrice cited the case of Loving v. Virginia, in which the Court struck down Virginia's law outlawing interracial marriage.

That might be true but what if we could also use Alito’s opinion to cure toe fungus? It would be worth it.

The only thing to fear, is fear itself, the kind being spread by the media/dems.

Must be nice to have a media machine to push every narrative, no matter how ridiculous.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I would be prefectly happy and confident to let even interracial marriage go back to the states to decide constitutionally. Do you know how many states would ban this? ZERO!

And it would completely undermine the pernicious “gay marriage” decision, which is NOTHING like interracial marriage. Do you know how many states would ban so-called “same-sex marriage?” At least 31.

“Do you know how many states would ban this? ZERO!”

GMTA. From the article:

“It is inconceivable that any state would pass such a law.”

True that.

Plus, banning interracial marriage was a Dim thing, not a Republican thing. The same with slavery and segregation.

Imagine how peaceful political discussions in our country would be if the Dims quit expressing their guilt about their past. LOL

They are so incapable of defending Roe that they must resort to fear-mongering about other things.

Anyone with half a brain could slice through that idiotic argument with a knife.

Roe v. Wade is clearly and utterly unconstitutional. The Constitution gives the feds NO authority over abortions.

Interracial marriage is ALSO something over which the Constitution gives the feds NO authority.

The answer to most of the Leftist b#ll sh#t is THE CONSTITUTION.

AMERICNS: READ AND UNDERSTAND YOUR CONSTITUTION as written and originally understood and intended.

THE CONSTITUTION, reinstated as the Supreme Law of the Land, is how we defeat the Fascist Left.

So what’s new? It is election season and democrats are screaming about how racist republicans are in order to stir up the blacks. Too bad blacks can’t seem to come to grips with the FACT that democrats started the KKK, stood up against school desegregation, military desegregation, you name it. Remember LBJ’s famous quote. He was right, as it seems a few bucks, or at most a free cellphone can buy votes from them in spite of the party’s actual history.

Says the party that confirmed a non-biologist to the Supreeeeem Cawt.

Worst part of it is that now I have nightmares of it being Janet Jackson (who’s probably more qualified) and of frightful wardrobe malfunctions and the very thought of Justice Timberlake should scare you all...

I guess Joe thinks Clarence Thomas would vote for the ban, but only if he wanted a divorce ;-)

Scarborough is correct here. But he should have also mentioned the three additional things that Alito’s opinion will ban:

fluffy clouds
jelly donuts
the letter “v”

By getting rid of Roe v Wade, the Constitution simply and correctly states that, currently, abortion is not an enumerated power of the Federal Government and none of its business. Therefore, abortion defaults to the States to deal with, or not deal with as they each see fit.

Marriage, whether homo, animal, interracial, space alien, or virtual is also not an enumerated power of the Federal Government and also none of its business. These too should default to the States to deal with or not deal with as they each see fit.

Don’t like that? Then pass a Constitutional Amendment and make it the Federal Government’s business.

Damn! Wish they’d make up their mind!
Dems hate interracial marriages.
