Bottom line: Deep States don’t want you driving.

Period.

“…upcoming pollutant bombshell tire particulates” — they pulled the cover back a bit there for a glimpse of the next envirowacko target.

Once upon a time Norway had thousands of cascading waterfalls to the delight of tourists.

Now, many of those waterfalls have been diverted to huge pipes that deliver the water to a turbine at the foot of a mountain.

What used to be a fabulous sight of water cascading down a mountainside is now a brown stain where the water once flowed unabated.

It is all focused on 20x20 ‘apartments’ per family, 1 child per family, and everyone walk to work in tattered clothes to make the things the elite want. USSR, baby!

Zero car ownership is the goal and the end game. Everything is directed toward densely packed cities, empty countryside, and 100% mass transit with no private ownership of cars of any kind, exept for the Master Ruling Class and Other Special People.

Some branches of Progressive governments exist just to meddle and micromanage the private lives of its people. All based on UN-settled science

...and requires energy to move it around, which has to come from somewhere.

It comes from the vehicle charger! Where did you think the energy comes from? (/sarc)

Typical of Socialism or Communism: The elites eat high on the hog and the plebes eat out of their garbage cans. The elites ride around in their limos and the plebes ride around in crowded buses.

As I have posted more than once on this site, governments are deceiving people into buying electric vehicles to get them out of vehicles using gasoline and diesel. When that goal is accomplished, they will announce electric vehicles are not a practical alternative in massive numbers. Then, they will outlaw those too.

This is about CONTROL of people and limiting their mobility.

Now EV’s are not good enough.

NOTHING will satisfy the left until we are freezing and starving to death stuck in our unheated hovels.

In efficiency terms, for C02 and emissions in general, it is always going to be better to use mass transit than individual cars, no matter how green they are.

Total cost is proportional to total energy consumption and CO2 output. If government transport is more energy efficient than personal transport, then it will be cheaper. The reality is, few would ride government transport unless the price was heavily subsidized, often to the tune of 90% of the total cost.

Computerized cars can link up into virtual trains to match train economies of scale.

I rented a room in San Diego that was about 1 mile east of I-5 in the Clairemont neighborhood. I used an electrostatic air cleaner in my room. I eventually had to drop in into the trash can. The collector plates were covered in a thick, black goo that I could not clean. It was "dust" from thousands of cars passing everyday.
