If Roe is struck down, such a federal law would be challenged and struck down by the court again.

Ole cocaine Mitch, trying to sabotage a conservative victory.

Leave abortion issues up to the states.

In a weird way, his holding up Merrick Garland for SCOTUS, is kinda of the same thing, he thought that their would be huge backlash, there wasn't.

You mean the turtle is not on our side? Who would have guessed it? But don’t worry Lizzy, Linda and Mittens are ready to spring into action.

“Mitch McConnell says federal abortion ban is ‘possible’ if Roe v Wade is overturned”

McConnel is wrong. Abortion is not in the Constitution and therefor is not backed, pro or con, federally under the Constitution.

Yes, it can be legislated by the states of SCOTUS cannot mandate it, then that lack says federal power is lacking to mandate it.

If Schumer tries to legislate universal federal abortion “rights”, the states will sue and under the “Alito precedent” will throw the law out.

If Conservatives in the U.S. Congress tries to “ban” abortion via federal law, again the Alito ruling will through that out as well.

The issue belongs with the states unless the Constitution is directly amended.

Nonsense. It’ll be up to the states to determine.

Since there is not a pro-life majority in the Senate, all Republican Senators should be saying that pro-life laws should be at state level, and that therefor they will block Democratic efforts to codify Roe at national level.

To be fair to Mitch, anything is possible concerning abortion should Roe vs Wade be struck down. But, it is extremely unlikely. I wonder why Mitch chose this rhetoric.

It seems very clear to me that the ‘body politic’ has coalesced around abortion being acceptable in the first trimester and completely unacceptable in the third trimester. I am certain most state laws will fall in line with that sort of thinking. As times change and things evolve, perhaps states will get more strict or less strict....which is how a democracy works.

The bigger picture is fights over supreme court nominees will be less significant (which is what the Dems really fear as the abortion argument helps them win the presidency), but governor races will also get more meaningful.....which is also how democracy works.

My feeling is the Democrats don’t have much confidence in their political arguments.....which is why they are always protesting and getting in peoples faces. And so it goes....

"Mitch McConnell says federal [??? emphasis added] abortion ban is 'possible' if Roe v Wade is overturned [...]"

Noting that McConnell is seemingly trying to deceive voters since the feds have never had the express constitutional power to make murder of unborn children laws, it wouldn't be surprising if McConnell is using the "R" in his title to try to hurt Trump.

Also, patriots cannot expect corrupt, alleged election stealing Congress to apply Section 3 of the 14th Amendment (rebellion) to itself and effectively fire itself, also fire corrupt state governments.

Excerpted from the 14th Amendment:

So Trump's red tsunami of patriot supporters must use their voting power to peacefully and effectively make Section 3 work by replacing Congress and state legislatures with Trump-endorsed candidates in the 2022 midterm elections.

A great alternative in women’s right to choose is to choose to keep their legs together and their mouths shut.

Doing both will solve a lot of their troubles.

Mitch McConnell is wrong since the federal government has no say regulating abortion one way or the other. It belongs to the states!

Mitch McConnell is stimulating the Democraps into taking more serious actions. He is showing his true colors. No wonder he spent 80% of his time sabotaging Donald Trump, while having a good laugh in the Senate cloakrooms with his Senator buddies. Most likely while downing Kentucky bourbon.

McConnell is a complete and total idiot and apparently knows as little or less about the Costitution than the Democrats do.
