Irish rock star Bono praised Ukraine's fight for "freedom" during a performance in a metro station in downtown Kyiv Sunday, where the U2 frontman also issued his own prayer "for peace".
From the platform of a Kyiv metro station, the 61-year-old rock icon belted out U2 classics "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Desire" and "With or without you".
"The people in Ukraine are not just fighting for your own freedom, you are fighting for all of us who love freedom," said Bono during a break.

It’s all about money and power. It’s always been that way.
The truth exists, but we humans deal in half truths, perspectives, and in the end twist things to suit us. When we decide to twist things to the point to where we begin killing people for some benefit (power and money), it’s a tragedy.
Because the Euros benefit from this war also (they want Ukraine in the EU) they are behind it at least for now 100%, so at least they aren’t ankle biting us. But if things go to shit in a real way, or in 10 years when we are still dealing with the reverb from the shit storm we just started, they won’t be there for us (at least not 1/2 of them).
