The Admiral Makarov is one of only three ships of its class in Russia's Black Sea fleet and its sinking would be a blow to Vladimir Putin coming shortly after Moscow lost its flagship The Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate was on fire this morning in what would be a fresh blow for warmonger Vladimir Putin, a number of unconfirmed reports suggest. It was said to be close to Snake Island in the Black Sea, where a rescue operation was underway involving multiple aircrafts and rescue boats.
Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko took to his Telegram channel to report the ship had been hit by Ukrainian neptune missiles.
He said that the ship had been hit by Ukrainian attacks and was "badly damaged", but remained afloat for now.
In his post, he wrote: "Yes, yes, you understood everything correctly! The God of the seas takes revenge on the offenders of Ukraine. "The Admiral Makarov frigate was laid down in February 2012 at the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad, launched in September 2015. And in 2022- oh, when he took part in the murder of Ukrainians, he went towards the cruiser "Moskva", where he was supposed to!"
In addition to the Ukrainian politician, a number of unconfirmed reports said the warship was hit by Ukrainian missiles near the Sevastopol naval plant in Crimea, on the Black Sea……

That’s a western imperialist capitalist craigslist lie!!!
The Makarov is undergoing special operations in the special operations to specially operate Ukraine out of Noseys
Russian media proudly reports a new submarine has been added to the fleet.
I wonder how the chicoms are swallowing the news. Probably feels like “waterboarding”.
Regards,
“if they can slam ONE missile into a ship’s hull - don’t they slam TWO in?”
Shoot and scoot.
L
One of them might gave been intercepted.
They might not have many missiles and that target might not have been worth two of them. I suspect amphibious ships have highest priority.
One hit is a mission kill and the vessel is likely to be out of the war which is the important thing.
All sorts of possible reasons.
Yes, of course. I got it easy here, sitting in the popcorn gallery and calling the shots.
Putin is not only invading and attacking Ukraine - he is calling into doubt the European Security Order that has existed since the end of WW II. Not to mention threatening the whole world with a nuclear conflagration.
Regards,
Yes, of course!

Warfare is changing. Navies and tanks will soon be outdated. Ships are sitting ducks even with the best defenses on them in the age of cheap drones and hypersonic missiles.
Ukrainians are amazingly accurate with there cheap drones. You could purchase a 1,000 armed drones for the price of a tank.

Ukrainian’s? Yeah right.
These ships have been struck with USA assistance.
I suspect it’s because Ukraine would prefer to retain more anti-ship missiles than Russian has ships.
Ukraine had a very large part of the ex-Soviet R&D and weapons makers. The Kharkov works was the largest tank factory, several missile and aircraft makers were on Ukraine, a lot of the tech talent too, etc and etc. So why not Ukraine?
It’s better propaganda for your side to have a burning ship in all the morning edition for days.
At Pearl Harbor the Japanese put five torpedoes into the Oklahoma, and six torpedoes, plus two bombs, into West Virginia. Had they used just one torpedo, or bomb, on the USS Neosho, the only fast fleet oiler at Pearl Harbor, its loss would have crippled for months the US Navy's ability to use its remaining ships across the expanse of the Pacific.
You forgot to include running dog in your disdain for the west
This is a good example of why surface ships like aircraft carriers are a total waste of money.
Feels like ‘losing face’! ☺
