Find your local county committee. Ask if there is a vacancy in your precinct. The time commitment should be about one meeting per month ! -OFFICIALLY ENDORSED BY TRUMP
I can vouch for this issue...
I’m the committee chair of my town. By statute, we can have a maximum of 35 members. We only have 13 members, with 22 vacancies. We actively recruit, and would welcome new members.
The apathy out there is unreal.
Yep. You would think the further loss of freedoms and the lowering of the quality of everyday life were spur on conservatives and even moderates to get involved. But in many cases, it's not happening. The creation of political apathy has been by design. It's easy for liberals to get enough people amped up about something impacting their lives. With conservatives, much harder.
Maybe if the GOP didn’t chase everyone off, they may have more?
I donate and knock on doors every election, but can someone explain how attending one of these monthly meetings are a useful way to help the cause?
And these aren't placeholders! These folks hit thousands of doors in the 2021 school board elections....and, YES, we won!
what does the committee do?
Do they evaluate and endorse candidates?
You take over the party and start calling the shots, like electing a MAGA Precinct Committeeman instead of a RINO.
Then THEY elect MAGA people up the leadership chain.
The RINOS have kept these seats empty by design, to control the party and thwart MAGA.
yes
Committees are just a platform - they are as good and active as the members that join and participate. Yes, support for candidates, signature drives, outreach on principles - Constitutionally limited government, individual freedom, education, contingent in the local schools, finding/helping candidates. Having no problem rejecting rinos. Providing a place for the like-minded to gather and communicate in a sea, at least in my case, of lieberalism.
Local GOP precinct members vote on county GOP leaders. County GOP leaders vote on state GOP leaders. State GOP leaders vote on national GOP leaders(think Ronna, ROMNEY McDaniel)
This voting happens every two years. Local+county+state+national = 8 years to completely take over the GOP.
GOP people also have a say in who runs as the official GOP candidate in the primaries.
There have been some cases where the existing RINOs keep out MAGA types but there has also been cases where the GOP get outnumbered and simply walk away and then the MAGA people have full control.
correction

When the Tea Party movements started, a few of us tried to get on committees, but the local bosses used various ‘tactics’ to keep us off.
Tried a few lawsuits but ultimately, since the judges play golf with these ‘leaders’,it became an exercise in futility....
So canvas the town and convince people of the value of a precinct.
Just watch the response to this thread. I've posted a link to Precinct Strategy with a brief explanation many times and get very little response.
Slightly related. I've got a libertarian leaning republican running for my DC house rep and the two term incumbent has become a RINO already but the libertarian leaning republican is not on twitter while his opponents are and his website is on some free cookie cutter site provider. His facebook page is the only thing that shows up in a web search and you have to be logged in to see it. WTF? Different but the same. Too lazy to do what needs to be done.
