World to run out of food in 27 years and 248 Days!

Posted on 04/27/2022 4:52:06 AM PDT by MtnClimber

What woukd we do without "experts"?

According to a report in the UK tabloid the Daily Star, some scientists are now predicting that the world will run out of food in 27 years. 27 years and 251 days, to be more precise…as of Sunday, April 24th, 2022. (Start your doomsday countdown at home!)

So, that’s it, the science is settled, apparently. We are done by 2050.

But, what if, say, 26 years from now half of us go on strict diets and limit our caloric intake…or 60% of us are by then vegan…or 10% of the projected population has been killed off by Lyme Disease/Islamic radicals/leftist economic policies? Might we actually then have 27 years and 351 days left? Or, dare we hope, perhaps even 29 years and 5 days left? Could we even make it to 2055?

“Sociobiologist” Edward Wilson [known professionally as E.O. Wilson] is quoted in the report saying, “There are limits to Earth’s capacity to feed humanity. Even if everyone on the planet agreed to become vegetarian, the world’s farmland could not support the need. The world population will be too big to feed itself. By then, there will be almost 10 billion people on the planet and the food demand will have increased by 70% compared to what we needed in 2017. The limit to how many people Earth can feed is set at 10 billion at the absolute maximum. The constraints of the biosphere are fixed, there’s no wiggle room here.”

Wilson added: “It’s unlikely that everyone will agree to stop eating meat, so the actual limit is lower. And each nation is different, but still there is an excess amount of food being eaten and wasted every day.

If you look at Democrat policies, every consequence ends up in death without them being blamed. 1.Abortion. That’s obvious.

2. Letting minorities kill each other while paying lip service to taking guns from law abiding citizens. Defunding police and releasing criminals which ends in more death .

3.Government run health care where bureaucrats make health decisions. The covid pandemic. Democrats sent their sick to places where there was a vulnerable population and health compromised. Got rid of a lot of seniors on Medicaid.

4. Democrats are all for sending arms to Ukraine where Putin has to fight harder and Zelensky can kill more Russians.

5. This green new deal will kill millions in 3rd world countries that depend on food that they won’t be able to grow on their own.

Wow! Let me state the real position. We make too much food. We don’t need all the food we do make. Much of it gets wasted. Restaurants and grocery stores throw away huge amounts. Food shelters throw away huge amounts. Our population is huge. And we are making other countries fat by exporting our diet with American processed foods.

This crap about food being limited, just like the crap about energy being limited is merely a way to replace most currency with energy and food swaps, or carbon swaps. The idea is that elites can control energy and food rather than just their money. Swaps or “credits” would allow a small group to be in control outside of any one country’s currency.

The problem with their plan is that global warming is synonymous with vastly increased food production. Every degree that the earth warms unleashes millions of hectors of new farm land, mostly in Russia and Canada.

The short and obvious truth is that we have far more energy than ever before. We have far more food than ever before. We have far more working aged population than ever before which is more educated than ever before. Our abundance of everything we need is clear. But the elite crowd is trying to suggest shortages where there are none.

According to “experts” back in the 80’s we should be buried under a glacier by now in the impending ice age.

87.395621% of statistics are made up on the spot.

That’s too much to think about.

Been there, done that, got the book to prove it:

Some annoying agronomist named Norman Borlaug blew his theory to h3ll. The next big increase in food production will probably come from GMO food.

Dittos. I’ve reviewed Dr. Wilson’s work occasionally over the years and I respect his opinion but he’s way off base on this.

I can get this resolved in about 15 years. Not to worry.

I’m glad that during my education in a real elementary school years ago, we heard about Chicken Little and “The Sky is Falling”.

Of course, our modern journalism-majors never achieved that high of a level of reading and comprehension.

6. Inject bilions of young women with an experimental vaccine that causes problems with their ovaries. Therefore, reducing the overall birthrate in the future.

7. Inject billions of people with a experimental vaccine that causes blood clots, heart inflammation, and other life shortening issues.

Will there be another global catastrophe that will affect food supplies? Undoubtably, at some point another asteroid, or Caldera volcano eruption or something else, will short term affect climate and disrupt growing cycles enough to create large scale famine... That’s just reality...

However, these analysis type of things that say if we keep doing what we are doing now, we won’t have XX in YY years are nonsense.. because they ignore the simple reality, NOTHING is static.... When faced with new problems we come up with new solutions to them... Food production will no more be static over the next 30 years, than you will still be using your Iphone 13 30 years from now.

You really cannot deny this simple truth:
“The limit to how many people Earth can feed is set at 10 billion at the absolute maximum. The constraints of the biosphere are fixed, there’s no wiggle room here.”
We can argue the limit number, but there IS a limit. Is it 10 billion humans? Considering global population is 8 billion today, it’s probably a lot more than 10 billion. Is it 20 billion? 50 billion? 100 billion? Will it reach the limit in 10 years? 100 years? 1,000 years? The end won’t happen with a big cataclysmic event, but a slow, gradual reduction of life span and wealth. Technology has already “saved” us allowing earth to grow from one billion souls to 8 billion in two hundred years. But can tech continue to work this miracles for another 8X growth? I doubt it.

The “Club of Rome” made this prediction around 1970 and were derided for it. But their conclusions were broad and not meant to be “mankind will end on this date.”

One indisputable truth is too much of the excess population has discovered the once remote beautiful areas of the American west. Population pouring in, ruining so many places (including our North Idaho).
