The warmists will never give up on the global warming hoax.
In the Monty Python sketch, “The Parrot,” a customer returns a parrot he had bought just 30 minutes before. Why? Because it is dead. The shopkeeper insists that the parrot is not dead but resting. Nothing the customer says can change the shopkeeper’s mind.
Our modern-day shopkeepers, the global warmists, insist a cataclysmic doom is our future unless we throw the entire world into a state of complete chaos.
There have been a number of studies on our side that show global warming is a hoax. Will the left do what we do, have a serious discussion of those studies? Absolutely not -- they are not interested.
If the hand of God were to deliver two stone tablets with 10 reasons why there is no global warming, would our global warmists listen? Never in a hundred years. The parrot is not dead.
The warmist’s messianic devotion to global warming is completely irrational. They won’t let any fact or reason get in the way of their blind assuredness. In the shopkeeper’s case, he didn’t want to give the money back. In our global warmists case, they are hiding their real agenda, global government.

I don’t think the warmists goal, at least for the near term, is global government. I think it is for governments (the god of the left) to have control over the means of production.
They also need us to be in an agreeable mindset, because we will die of poverty if we refuse to conform.
Global warming is about saving the planet the same way CoupFlu policy is about protecting public health.
Just about everything can be reduced to battles for control. The message may change but the methods remain the same..
Sorry, but no. Maybe some of the leaders think this way. But the populace in Europe are true believers. They think the world will be unlivable in 20 years.

The true agenda of the environmental activist is the creation of a socialist utopia.
The damage they’re inflicting is not collateral, it is the objective. No matter if it’s about a class struggle, income equality, civil rights, deviants’ rights, feminism, workers’ rights...it’s ALWAYS about power. They care about nothing else.
Global government is exactly what they want and for that government to have control of the means of production. All of it through the UN.

Though the ‘Warmists” will never listen to logic or debate, the solution is quite simple: Laugh at them. Don’t use a simple smile or smirk, a full-throated belly laugh is necessary.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion but it seems dead on. I have almost daily business contact with colleagues in EU that touch on this subject; not a skeptic among them. The US demonikraps’ 2020 green (raw) deal campaign issue is from EU. No media mention of this fact that it wasn’t a US original. Many people that I encountered and media reports I read associated it with FDR’s New Deal. EU is leading the world on environmentalism - not only on the continent, but for its global implementation. It doesn’t matter that industries have left the EU, the disease if being spread elsewhere. In addition, the cost of complying with EU’s requirements is spread across all countries a company does business. If the real cost of complying with EU regulations for selling products into EU were imposed on the EU, (1) a company would have no EU sales, because (2) the EU couldn’t afford the cost of their regulations. That is, we are propping up their socialism - all forms of it.
I have many friends in the EU, but I have to tell you, over the years, I see less and less benefit of dealing with and perhaps even defending the Europeans, with exception of maybe some of the former Soviet countries who “get it”. Any politician who claims UK is America’ greatest ally either is lying or has no understanding of history, and that includes WW2.
The warmists are the blind leading the blind.

I get a little amused by watching the hypocrisy at play. Our corporate culture is 100% about sustainability and "green everything". My business is the largest, most profitable, and fastest growing in the entire company, but.... it is most definitely NOT green. We sell to people who generate CO2 (and great products) by the gigatons. :-)

You have not been following the actions of the World Economic Forum and how, enabled by the Paris Climate Accord, the WEF has undermined sovereign control of central banks. They are imposing a Global standard of accounting which signatory parties to the Paris accord must adopt.
It amounts to global governance on the lines of the EU, Global Rule via a Global regulatory scheme.
A significant portion of Europeans believe whatever government tells them to believe.
Global warming...OK.
Massive, uncontrolled immigration...fine.
