The reaction by some to Donald Trump’s endorsement of Dr. Mehmet Oz in the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania seems a bit over the top. I mean, I get it on some levels: Oz isn’t great on the issues, isn’t a conservative rockstar (as if Pennsylvania produces any), and is an unknown commodity in electoral politics (see Trump, Donald J., circa 2015). But everyone needs to take a deep breath and understand that Oz is 10 times better than former hedgefund CEO Dave McCormick. And in Trump’s mind, maybe 50 times better.

Both writers I deeply respect but YOU all have to choose. We’re stuck with Cassidy and Linda for 6 more years but where are the challengers when red(der)state republicans go stale? Think Thune, Lisa. Oz will not be a 90% traitor. He’ll be WITH us 90%. Some of you don’t get it.
So, if Donald Trump is satisfied with Dr. Oz, as the best we can hope for, then I will be too.

BJ and the Kenyan were romantics-get it? They appealed to single women and bored housewives. Just look at how many wanted to take off their pants for them. Oz got as far as their living rooms. Being photogenic makes the difference. If we don’t recognize this then we’re all losers.
Oz is not his worst endorsement.

I have no idea how he votes. I do know how he preforms TV medicine and he is a quack. He always has been a quack. On any medical issue that has some social overtone he is never on the side of respected/traditional medical practice. Why do you think CNN hires him? Not that the FOX TV Dr. is much better.

For every unknown commodity that turns out to be like Trump, there are 9,999 unknown commodities that turn out to be secret Democrats.
OZ isn’t 80%, not even close....

Well, it gives them power is what it does. When you are the “swing vote” you magnify your power and influence more than any other single vote in the entire legislature, and have both parties catering to your every whim. That’s got to be quite addictive for those who are power hungry.
I’m voting for Trump and anyone he endorses. He’s the last game in town that might make a difference.
