Lurid and false atrocity stories have been used before to encourage Western involvement in unnecessary wars.
The reports and photographs showing an apparent massacre in Bucha, Ukraine, are truly terrible. They are reminiscent of the atrocities used to galvanize Western opinion during Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s, when the Srebrenica Massacre and the Siege of Sarajevo were seared into Western consciousness.
Of course, pictures do not always tell the whole story. For example, to determine whether a war crime took place we must know who did the killing, why, and how. After all, the United States killed many thousands of Iraqis and Afghans, frequently by accident, in the course of those wars. Few in the United States or Europe would call those actions war crimes. This all became apparent after the United States exonerated itself for the annihilation of an Afghan family via a missile strike during the withdrawal of U.S. forces last summer. Oops.
Like any crime, a war crime must involve intent or at least recklessness. Killing civilians or POWs without trial, or humiliating them as an act of revenge, are each undoubtedly war crimes. The documented abuse of prisoners by Donetsk People’s Republic commander Givi was the basis for a Ukrainian war crimes investigation against him, before he was assassinated in 2017.
If civilians were shot and purposefully killed in Bucha, it undoubtedly would be a war crime and a terrible thing. But there are credible reasons to believe the so-called Bucha Massacre was not the doing of the Russian Forces, but rather of the Ukrainians—either local militia or SBU or some combination of thereof—as part of brutal reprisals against “saboteurs” and “Russian collaborators.”
First, this fits with a pattern of Ukrainian forces violating the rules of war, as evidenced by numerous videos showing the shooting of

I am posting this to show some of the opinions that are skeptical of the MSM Ukraine narrative which seens to be viewed with a jaundiced eye. I do not claim to know what is happening in Ukraine, I was not there. I just want people to be careful when listening to reports by the left who seem to be pushing the public to support the USA entering this war. The citizens of Ukraine are the losers in all of this.
This is garbage - not at all true, but go ahead with your conspiracy theories, like the poster of the article above.
Just goes to show how many people on this site have closed minds.
The Russians may be far from perfect angels, but the people who claim Bucha know it wasn’t the work of the Russians.
But I do understand why they claim it was.
Thanks for posting.
Putinista propagandists.
How do you know that "It's not true"? Asking for a friend.. :)
It sounds like you are the one with a closed mind.
A false flag operation is an act committed with the intent of disguising the actual source of responsibility and pinning blame on another party.
Ask who would gain from this event.
Call the world police! Leave me OUT of it.
We’re losers, too, in this push for the US to get involved in what is basically a civil war with many years of history (centuries, in fact) and right and wrong on both sides.
I think it was just a random inspiration of Biden’s (or whoever is behind him) to keep up the Russia, Russia, Russia hysteria that worked so well against Trump, especially since it looks like that narrative is collapsing. I also think it was a way, paradoxically, of doing a preemptive strike aimed at keeping the world from looking too closely at Hunter and Joe’s political activities and profit-taking in Ukraine while Biden was VP. In other words, it’s the usual self-centered Biden policy.
Of course, like everything he does, it’s a disaster. US participation and support has not only cost Ukrainians and Russians alike many lives, it has destroyed economies, disrupted the world food supply and energy supplies, and, worst of all, empowered China.
Quit bitchin’...... it was Russia of course.
Everybody that matters knows
Pretty certain it was the Russians... But hey... Everybody has an opinion and even it’s incorrect and completely without merit, it’s worth knowing.
There is no push.
Your isolationist mentality over rides reason by not being intellectually capable of separating a passive act from a supposed kinetic act
So the invading country, that has been shelling hospitals, apartment buildings, and kindergartens, would never commit these particular atrocities because, well, the Ukrainians obviously decided to murder a bunch of their own citizens, in an area the Russian army was occupying at the time when the murders occurred.
Great theory, tell me more. I’m so interested in what the GRU is telling “American Greatness” to say.
Ill take those two vs Putin anyday.
BKMRK.
So explain what the Rosgvardiya or National Guard’s 46th Special Operations Battalion (OMON) units where doing in the area? Just asking.
Bucha just might have been a 50/50 mix of genuine Rooski atrocities against Ukrainian civilians and dead body placements by Ukrainian propagandists..... Anyways, the Rooskis invaded, so this is all on cancerous, scum bucket Vlad and his armies.
