Just like he backed down and said there was no election fraud and congratulated Biden on his Presidency, said he wants to work together and partisan divides don’t serve a single American.
I think it’s a simple matter of not having a reliable witness or having it recorded on his phone. He can name names, but without proof, he’s opening himself up to a lawsuit, not to mention being made look like a fool.
If it was a dem that invited him to an orgy, it was only to get it recorded and use it against him.

How is it a cop out? He said he wasn’t going to back down from the mob. He also said that that “the culture in DC is corrupt,” that if certain individuals can get you into compromising positions, then they can control you. He said he is willing to fight against the corruption, and told people if they want someone to fight against the corrupt DC culture, then vote for him, but if you want someone who will be going to DC, and won’t be accountable to the people back home, then vote for them. He’s right when he said that the left, and the media want to cause a division between Republicans. What he didn’t say was that plenty of those other Republicans are willing to go along with the media, and throw him to the side of the road. I don’t agree with him when he says McCarthy needs to be Speaker. That guy needs to go.

Word salad. Non-denial denial; non-admission admission. Clintonian non-statement which pretends to be fighting “corruption” without specifying a single thing.
Maybe he doesn't want to be sued. Without evidence to back up those names, it's his word against the others, and since he's a freshman representative, who do you think would get f*cked in the end?
He hasn't changed his tune.
He is as reliable as all of the other pretend conservative grifters.
What a golden opportunity lost. He could create a list of Democrats: just a politician or two, the rest being high powered but otherwise unknown “Hill Rats”, who are vital to the operations of the offices of leading House Democrats.
Then give the list to a reliable leaker as coming from anyone other than Cawthorne, say the FBI or the Pentagon, saying that they had the drug orgy under surveillance, but have now been told to hush it up.
If the Rats can threaten and control John Roberts, they certainly can do the same with a young Congressman.
I wish Cawthorn all the best, but until he grows up he is still a wet behind the ears neophyte. With a lot to learn.
