Amy Schumer implied she was stepping away from her active career for a 'month' break as she shared an Instagram snap with her son Gene on Thursday morning.
The 40-year-old comedian wrapped her arms around her two-year-old little one in the peaceful photo, and wrote: 'Out of office reply for the next month. Thanks.'
Her latest post follows a social media share on Wednesday morning where she admitted she was 'still triggered and traumatized' by the 'disturbing' moment when Will Smith stormed onto the stage and slapped Chris Rock during Sunday night's 94th annual Academy Awards ceremony.
Amy followed up her restful post with another snap of the pair shared to her stories, and wrote 'OOO next month' across the shot.
Smith, 53, sent shockwaves around the world when he slapped Rock, 57, after the comedian made a bald head joke about Will's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has spoken about losing her hair due to alopecia.

My question is… why is this woman important? She’s not funny. She’s not talented. And she looks like a baked potato that just exploded. Is it really the Chuck Schumer connection? Maybe she should have gone into politics so we could all justify hating her.
So she’s going to give the world a break from her incessantly idiotic vapidity? Maybe she should take some time for a crash diet? Nahh... Fat chance of that.
The truth of the matter is Amy is still triggered and traumatized that she was offered no more roles after her dismal performance at the Oscars.

This dumb broad has never been even slightly funny. Consider that the same people who like Amy are the same people who are fans of Rosie O’donnel. Nuff’ said.

At one time, comedians were funny. Not so anymore. She’s gross and disgusting. She can take the rest of the century off.

These days that is a big part of it but this has been a thing for decades.
I sort of feel the same way about having your pic taken in front of some monument. Big whoop. I stood in front of the Eiffel tower.
I have plenty of those kinds of pics as I traveled many places. It’s a window into what I looked like at the time but that’s it.

I agree with all you say and also will say that the slap was rude but not an assault, or crime, or something against the law. Has there been any mention of bruises to Rock’s face?
Will Smith just wanted to entertain the people at the Oscars as Amy and the 2 other hosts were not.
