Absentminded conservatives allowed an army of perverts to take over the schools

Where has pandering to the freaks and sickos gotten us?

On April 10, 1899, while serving as the governor of New York, Theodore Roosevelt gave a speech titled “The Strenuous Life.” Roosevelt correctly identified and spoke on an objective truth:

“To pander to depravity inevitably means to increase the depravity. It is a dreadful thing that public sentiment should condone misconduct in a public man; but this is no excuse for the public man, if by his conduct he still further degrades public sentiment. There can be no meddling with the laws of righteousness, of decency, of morality.”

Now, in 2022, American culture is so depraved, its echoes that of Sodom and Gomorrah. Our culture and society has pandered to the once sequestered faction of sexual deviants and in doing so, the deviancy has skyrocketed.

The erroneously named “Don’t Say Gay” bill out of Florida, made obvious the alarming number of adult perverts in the school system. What is so conspicuously a parent’s rights initiative to protect young children from exposure to pornographic material, is facing hysterical opposition. It’s safe to say, efforts by teachers and school staff to expose kindergarteners to sexual material is pedophilic.

Re:”Teachers, don’t pedo groom the kids.”

Is this missing a sarcasm tag? Every school employee who cooperates with this evil is guilty.

Personally, I shun them.

Absentminded? No.

Cowardly? No.

Not willing to have our kids be casualties in a losing battle against entrenched perverts in schools and government? Now you're on to something.

Very few politicians that conservatives have voted for over the past 30 years have had their backs on these issues, even when they pretended to. Ron DeSantis may be the first in a long time to hold a major office.

I see the absentminded aspect as improvident and unwise granting of trust to an institution.

The institutions have much power, the power to subvert a civilization and any history or tradition - including “family.”

And the vast majority of people granted “trust” to the schools, the government, the courts, the press, the priests.

Look where it got us!

Grooming children for castration is Nazi torture doctor level of evil. It should be prosecuted as such. If that means mass trials of public school teachers, so be it.

There is a wide difference between being absent-minded and being a pervert. A good portion of the GOP fit into the latter category especially if they shack up with pollsters of the same sex!

This all started at least 20 years ago.
I’m beginning to believe that the left was waiting for the right time.
The passing of Rush was the right time.
Rush was the only one who challenged the GOP-e ruling class.

Exactly, all while being forced to pay twice, funding a system I've known for decades is deleterious to the nation's health.

I know many people who have their children in public schools, while living in McMansions, taking several vacations a year, country club membership, new car every couple years...have zero respect for them.

I know I sound really cynical and pessimistic. I would like to find evidence that things are getting better re: the public school system. So far, nope.

But that’s a good suggestion. We should also take judges who are elected seriously, too. Colorado has a terrible problem with electing activist judges.

This all started when Carter nationalized schools with the Dept. of Ed. Reagan should have killed this before it metastasized.

Where I went to school at, parents were welcome, and did sit in the classroom while the teacher taught. At lunch time they could eat at the table where the teachers ate if they wanted.

Reagan should have killed this before it metastasized.

It was part of his platform, but Republicans did not have the House, and the Senate wasn't interested.

Parents live in the illusion that the schools are still as they remember them.

It took the COVID lockdowns and Zoom classes to wake up a lot of parents that schools today are NOT as we remembered them.

I remember when we'd laugh at the purple-haired "non-binary" Gender Studies major. "You'll never get a job with that useless degree!"

Well, they got jobs, as teachers.
