It's remarkable to me how people don't hear the words coming out of their mouths. MSNBC wanted a sob story from a teacher about how Ron DeSantis' "Parental Rights in Education" bill is adversely affecting them. That's the legislation that critics call the "Don't Say Gay" bill, but people who have read it know it just says teachers can't push sex and gender on kids 3rd grade and under. MSNBC chose Cody Bernaert, who is upset he can't talk about his personal life to his students anymore.
He teaches kindergarten. In other words, five-year-olds.
"My kids do have questions. They wanna know who my partner is and pictures outside of my classroom..."
No, they don't. They're five. You're a teacher.
"We build relationships with our kids. And in order to build relationships you talk about your home life, you talk about what you did on the weekends. That's building community."
That's an excuse for your own vanity when you should be focused on teaching sight words.
Get ready for the best part.
"It scares me to death that I'm not going to be able to have these conversations with my children because they're gonna ask me what I did on the weekend. I don't wanna have to hide that my partner and I went paddleboarding this weekend."
Oh my God, this guy thinks he's Mr. Garrison from "South Park," where the kids want to learn math and science, but Mr. Garrison only wants to talk about how he and Rick got into a fight over the weekend because Garrison's ex Marcus keeps calling. And even with that analogy, the South Park kids are in fourth grade. NOT F'N KINDERGARTEN. While still weird and gross, Florida's "Parental Rights in Education" bill only specifies third grade and younger.
There is far too much ignorance about the Florida bill, and many activists exploiting that ignorance. Mayhaps Bernaert is a victim of that and didn't do his homework. Had he done the assignment, he would realize that everything he said validates why a "Parental Rights in Education" bill is both necessary and popular with parents.
I agree, but its not just homosexuality
Its the entire lgbtq wtf pervert parade.
And this is really just a smaller subset of the larger more demonic mindset they are pushing
And that is, Nothing you do is wrong. Anyone judging you, thats wrong. “Do as you will.” Thats the satanists creed.
Exactly. We sometimes got a funny pet story or something from a teacher but even our favorite teachers didn’t divulge much in the way of details about their personal lives and we didn’t expect them to.
This teacher sounds like a typical self-absorbed, deviant leftist and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near those little children.
I spent eight years in class w nuns teaching and some non nun teachers. We knew nothing about their home lives. We had a clue if they were married they’d be Mrs. or Miss. Most of the time was taken up learning how to to readin writing and arithmetic.
On Long Island we were surrounded by parents who ran the community. A lot of the parents were working at Grumman in Bethpage getting us to the moon. They’d been to those local schools to and figured out how to eventually be engineers.
If any of them heard about any of this non school crap going on in classrooms they’d stop it.
If my father ever heard of a kindergarten teacher being a guy he’d say nope. Nothing doing.
Don’t Groom in the Classroom
Your link goes to a piece by Gunderson, but it’s off the topic you’ve posted. It’s something about Ben Shapiro, not the teacher in question.
This is the correct link, written by Brodigan, not the other guy.

THEY ARE NOT HIS KIDS !!!!
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
They can get a job with Disney.
“It scares me to death that I’m not going to be able to have these conversations with my children because they’re gonna ask me what I did on the weekend. I don’t wanna have to hide that my partner and I went paddleboarding this weekend.”
First of all, faggot, they’re not your kids.
For crying out loud, teach them phonics so they learn to read!
Oh, and when a male teacher applies for a license to teach kindergarten, arrest him for pedophilia!
Ignoring the bad English, what would the Left say if a Christian teacher said, ""My kids do have questions. They want to know who my Savior is and see pictures in my church."
