I thought of that possibility after I made my post. It's a reasonable explanation. I've seen those pin-on microphones jostled before, and they do make a similar sound, although I don't know if the blow actually hit the microphone or if Rock's sudden movement might have jostled it.

In fact, watching it again the video doesnt show what you claim. Bending the fingers backward during the slap would cause injury to the face but if you catch the video at round 2 seconds as the hand comes off of Chris’s face then you will see that its cupped. The flattening backward bending doesnt occur until afterwards.

I get really tired of people putting words in my mouth on this site. I did not say I was "sure" or "it was obvious" or "anyone can see" that it was faked, I just voiced my suspicions and my reasons for them. I even acknowledged it when someone raised an objection to one of my points.
