He’s a huge lefty but his talent was substantial.
I hated his music when I was a kid and it was all over the radio. Now that I’m older I kind of dig it.
land of confusion
and they thought Reagan was bad.......
For some reason, my favorite song by him during that era was "Easy Lover" which was a duet with Phillip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire.
That song helped define the mid 1980s for me. One would not think that that would be the defining song of Phil Collins' career but for me that was.
Phil has some serious health issues and wish him well. It’s a shame they can’t continue performing. However I wish they would continue recording and perhaps they will.
I seem to remember that Genesys had lost its lead singer and he was the only one who had a chance of stepping up to the spot.
While his politics may have sucked, his undertaking of that role did wonders for Genesys, IMO. Who can forget, “Do you Remember?” His daughter, Lily Collins seems to be a hit in, “Lily in Paris” on Netflix.
Didn't matter what Republican was president. Pop stars have always realized what side their bread was buttered on. It was empty, hollow virtue signaling before virtue signaling was a phrase.
The modern version are suburbanites with the "hate has no home here" signs in their yards. They are what they say they are not. Ring the doorbell of one sporting those signs and announce you are canvassing for Donald Trump's 2024 campaign.
You will quickly find that hate lives there after all.
Be fair that video was Spitting Image, who mocked everybody.
Whatever did Sussudio mean?
He looks like he’s in his late 80’s, not his early 70’s.
A far cry from the days when Phil did the “Tarantella” with the tambourine.

I wish talented musicians would just shut up and sing. Same with actors.
I couldn't help thinking they did this tour as one final money grab with Phil having to slouch in a chair to get through each show.
Yep. That album sucked. ABACAB was great tho.
Goodbye clothespin guy, we will hardly miss you.
Check out Phil Collins when he was with Brand X. Monster drummer.
My wife and I saw Collins during his “First Final Farewell” tour in Sept, 2004 at the hockey arena in Buffalo. We had seats right behind the wheelchairs just off center stage (about five feet from the stage). He did all of his solo hits and had a great band (including Darryl Stuermer and Chester Thompson) backing him. The first 12 minutes or so was dueling drums with Chester; a novel way to open. It was a GREAT show. That Christmas, a DVD came out which showed the same concert in Paris a couple of months prior. We have that DVD to refresh fond memories. Passed on seeing Genesis in Philadelphia last December given Collins’ health issues. It just wouldn’t have been the same with him sitting in a chair. Wanted to have the good memories.
