Media and Biden are setting the table for an escalation in American involvement in the Ukraine-Russia war. This must not happen. America has no business getting involved in foreign wars that don’t involve our allies.

Without foreign involvement I see the following peace settlement happening - Russia will take Crimea, Ukraine will recognize Donbas independence, Ukraine will not join the EU or NATO, and then the war will be over. The only problem is that the idiot Zelensky is saying no to Russia’s reasonable demands. And these demands are reasonable. In fact, the Russian claim to Crimea, at a minimum should have been acknowledged 8 years ago after they had a referendum.

Putin was wrong to invade the Ukraine. But other than some short term sanctions as a disincentive to violence, the US needs to normalize its trade relationship with Russia. If the USA does not have normal trade relationships with Russia then that leaves China as the only nation with normal trade relations with most of the globe. This weakens America as it hurts our economy. And most importantly, we have no business getting involved in foreign wars.

I agree with you, but you will be called a Putinista by many here.

Where are your priorities? The important thing is to create the illusion that Putin is responsible for the gas prices and other inflation and make Biden a “wartime” president. Then we can stop the Republicans from electoral gains in Congress. That’s what’s really important, even to most Republican legislators who are also warmongering.

They are more afraid of Trump than of a world war. Now that’s some serious TDS!

Worse than that, it will to the end of the US dollar as world's reserve currency and the end of the petrodollar.

If that happens, it is going to be much, much harder to manage our massive debt.

We've, sadly, already pushed Russia into an alliance with China. That won't change. Russia won't trust the West again for decades.

And, Russia certainly has more than just China to trade with. India and Russia now have formed a strong trade alliance. There are plenty of South American nations that are happy to do business with Russia as well.

While I agree with you, but I must know what was the true motivation for Putin to decide to invade. There has been an 8 years war, since Russia claimed the Crimea and annexed it as part of Russia in 2014, that has been raging against the Russians who live in the Donbas area of Eastern Ukraine. Most are totally unaware of that fact. There are also openly admitting Nazi's in that Eastern Ukraine as well. Again, that most eople dismiss as propaganda. So, perhaps that is his reason for invading, but he may have also invaded to capture the bio-labs there also, even though he never mentioned that initially.

Maybe we should have a referendum here in Texas. Anyway, I thought Putin has expressed his desire to bring back the old Soviet borders. He seems to do what he says, not a big bluffer like POTUS. He’s testing his army and testing the West to see what we’ll do.

Ukraine leadership is CIA agent he does not care for his country or people and wants to turn it into rubble, no amount of weapons is going to make them beat russian army. ;( That is why it is good to have smart leadership and not grunts who don’t understand these things.

Media and Biden are setting the table

Wasn't Media Obama's daughter? Chacha and Media or something like that?

Biden can't set any tables, he can't FIND the table.
Sometimes they set the TV tray up for him but that's barely a table.

Putin was wrong to invade the Ukraine.

Was he? The Qtards say that Pooty is wiping out all the bad guys
and Nazis and deep state peddyfiles and devil worshippers.
And hey, who can't get behind that? Nothing can stop what is coming.

Or something.

The three most important things to do related to Russia and Ukraine are:

1. Drill
2. Baby
3. Drill

None of Putin's initial demands were reasonable: he wanted a demilitarized puppet state over all of Ukraine, a Russian protectorate. The attack on Georgia and the seizure of Crimea were acts of aggressive war in Europe, the first since WWII and for which men were hanged at Nuremberg.

Ukraine will never agree to a protectorate. They may be forced to recognize the annexation of Crimea, but only in exchange for real improvements in Ukraine's security.

As for our trade with Russia, there's not much of anything we get from them that we couldn't get here if the US government stopped strangling the US economy and resource extraction. And a big chunk of the $300 billion in Russian assets seized should go to Ukraine to rebuild.

What we imported from Russia means almost nothing to the US economy. Even Russian oil was a drop in the bucket.

We should let Russia swing in the breeze until they remove their troops.

Putin has done a lot more to endanger his people than a NATO with Ukraine ever could.

No matter how reasonable the demands there is no excuse for invading a country, killing its people and destroying its infrastructure.
