Worse than that, it will to the end of the US dollar as world's reserve currency and the end of the petrodollar.
If that happens, it is going to be much, much harder to manage our massive debt.
We've, sadly, already pushed Russia into an alliance with China. That won't change. Russia won't trust the West again for decades.
And, Russia certainly has more than just China to trade with. India and Russia now have formed a strong trade alliance. There are plenty of South American nations that are happy to do business with Russia as well.
I agree 100% with your comments about reserve currency.
Serves us right for getting into so much debt in the first place. Was wrong from the get-go to rely upon our currency being the world's reserve currency and expecting that to continue for all time into the future, regardless of how irresponsibly we handle our finances!
