At least there were people around who saw what happened and took charge of the baby. Better than the 18-year old in SE NM who gave birth at home in January, put the live baby in a plastic bag and drove to a business dumpster. Five cold hours later, three dumpster divers found the baby, still alive, and called police. The mother's car was identified from a security video and she is now under home arrest and will stand trial for attempted murder.

Of course, if she had driven to ABQ she could have been relieved of the baby via a partial birth abortion at one of ABQ's infamous abortion clinics.
