At DuckDuckGo, we've been rolling out search updates that down-rank sites associated with Russian disinformation.
In addition to down-ranking sites associated with disinformation, we also often place news modules and information boxes at the top of DuckDuckGo search results (where they are seen and clicked the most) to highlight quality information for rapidly unfolding topics.
Looks like DDG just lost their reason to exist. No different than Google now.
Why not just partition ALL of the search engines into Column A (left), Column B, (Deep State), Column C, Conservative, Column D (Trump haters), Column E (Trump Lovers), F (Pro Russia), G (Pro Ukraine), H (Globalists), etc. And don’t leave anything out. No Truth category, though, because only NARRATIVE exists, never truth.

This is extremely disappointing. The whole reason for the existence of DDG is because of google censorship.
This announcement makes it clear that other alternatives will have to be looked at.

I use StartPage, GigaBlast, Yandex, then DuckDuckGo. There might be a net neutral bias if you average between them.
Time to fire up the Brave search engine.

I just dowloaded the Brave browser and they have a search engine.

Once uou implement censorship algorithms, you’ve gone to the dark side. Only a matter of time.
And I’ve found the Russians to be more trustworthy than the US State Department. By far.
