CDC Director Rochelle Walensky: 'It's not our fault the public heard us wrong' (Twitter Videos)

Strikingly frank answer from CDC director Walensky on them being too bullish on vaccines early on “Nobody said ‘waning’ when this vaccine is going to work, ‘oh well maybe it’ll wear off.’ Nobody said ‘well, what if...it’s not as potent against the next variant’”

Alex Thomp Twitter

She continues: “I have frequently said ‘we’re going to lead with the science’...I think public heard that as ‘science is foolproof. Science is black and white.’...The truth is science is grey. And science is not always immediate.“

They told you 'trust the science'. They never said 'science is foolproof'. Any confusion or misunderstanding was your fault.

This kinda reminds me of scientists and the Big Bang theory.

They used to call anyone who questioned it a kook and a Neanderthal.

Now they are backtracking and saying “We always said it was just a theory. There are other theories as well.”

Dirtbags.

What the public heard was “Anyone who sees any grey is an anti-American enemy who needs to be silenced immediately!”

Science may take years to get to the facts. But saying that got you into a heap of hurt. These political leftists have no business being involved in public policy. They have zero credibility and endless arsenals of six ways to Sunday to make you gone.

Federal agencies need a housecleaning big-time.

” Any confusion or misunderstanding was your fault.”

.

Yeah, there was no “confusion or misunderstanding” when they issued the decree that it will be mandatory.

Vaxx or suffer the penalties they said.

That will be remembered.

It is significant when anyone within the academic or scientific priesthood is forced to backtrack on something they said or wrote previously. These types will generally defend an untenable position like a wolverine defending a kill. The line “We never said that was a certainty” is the biggest @$$ cover maneuver in their playbook.

The most ominous thing she’s said lately is that “people can take a break from masks now.”

Implying they will be mandated again in the Fall. Here in CA, the mandates will be imposed and enforced again in one hot second!

My son’s Cal State University campus has only 5 student cases now out of 17,000 students. And yet the mask mandate still hasn’t been lifted. It won’t be until “100% of all stakeholders feel safe and happy.” That is the metric.

It wasn’t their words that were the real problem, it was their policies. If the science is uncertain, then you don’t force your decisions on the public, but let them make their own judgement.

Even if the science was 100% certain, you still let the public make their own judgement, because they are the BOSS, not you.

99% of scientists are still psychologically followers just like 99% of the regular population. They may give lip service to being critical, but they long to follow consensus and stay safely nestled in the middle of the herd. That’s why they always heckle and jeer at the 1% of scientists who do question the consensus and do real science.

Yep, within a week after the election, if the left isn’t trounced, all the mandates will start coming back.

Here is another example of “attack, then later retreat” while finger-pointing and name calling while doing it:

https://slate.com/technology/2014/12/1975-newsweek-article-on-global-cooling-how-climate-change-deniers-use-my-old-piece.html

This is the classic “move the goalposts” article—viciously attacking opponents then and now.

“Yeah, we f&^%ed up but you can trust us now!”

[[>> She continues: “I have frequently said ‘we’re going to lead with the science’...I think public heard that as ‘science is foolproof]]

Horse manure! They intimated very distinclty all along that the science was settled and Noone was to question it, and they even gave orders to arrest thise who ignored their mandates, and they even passed mandates based on their lies

We didn’t mishear anything! We saw with our own eyes mothers being ripped away from their children for not wearing masks, people ripped off busses and subways for not wearing masks, all, based on the lie that ‘science proves that the masks are effective’.. the truth is that states that did not have mask mandates fared as well or even better than heavily mandated states, but the left kept up the lie that masks were needed to stop, the virus
