Ukraine still had massive reserves in, you guessed it, Donetsk and Luhansk, and other areas East of the Dnieper River. In 2019, Energy Secretary Rick Perry visited Ukraine, and soon after Ukraine awarded exploration contracts to a consortium of U.S. oil companies. Again, these oil reserves would compete in Europe with Russian oil, so Putin is invading Ukraine to shut down this latest attempt to extract Ukrainian oil and sell it in competition with Russian oil.

This explanation makes more sense to me than the "Putin feels threatened by NATO expansion" excuses for the invasion.

========

Ok so if we take that premises that it about oil..they again would explain why WE (the west) want to take it over too

It doesn't matter what Strategic reasons both sides want it be it oil, geopolitically local or secure.. they still Both want it

vs let it be a neutral buffer between the two....

But with or with out oil .. Russian had been fighting to hold on to Crimea for several hundred years as it major navel base and warm water port

And with or without oil we made a commitment back went the Soviet Union fell to the new Russian government NOT to expand Nato to there border

I keep saying this is Cowboys and Indians..with the Russian being the Indians

So you juse gave the classic reasons that Treaties with the Indians always got broken and then the Indians went on the war path. Money

... in this case...oil.. yea that fits why we are so hot and heavy to "Help"

If it was bump fu-k nowhere with nothing.. no would give a crap .. they be let the Russians have it just like no gave a crap about crap Indians land

So let's quit acting like we're some kind of saints in this game

And while Putin held off invading Ukraine while Trump was in office, he’d be considered an idiot, even by his own people, for not invading Ukraine while Dementiajoe (whose been paid off by both China and Russia) was shuffling around in the White House

Don't forget Hunter, who was neck deep in the Ukraine gas business with Burisma, getting millions and passing along "10% for the Big Guy."

How much blackmail material does Putin have on Biden because of Hunter/Burisma?

Putin is and always has been a communist. He loved the Soviet Union. He wants to return to its former glory.

Ie. He needs no reason

Ukraine was briefly independent following the Russian Revolution of 1917 but soon came under Soviet rule after a considerable amount of fighting and turmoil.

I hope we don’t have to find out

Your nonchalant attitude about what Putin will or won’t do is dangerous for us all

Ukraine is a nicer place to live than Russia, and it has valuable mineral resources which compete with Russia in European markets. During the Soviet occupation millions of Russians moved to Ukraine. They speak Russian and occupy positions of power in some Ukraine provinces. In 2014 Hunter Biden and “the big guy” received $3.5 million through Hunter’s company Rosemont Seneca from a Russian oligarch and wife of the former mayor of Moscow.

Gee, I wonder what the Bidens were selling?

Putin has been saying that putting NATO on his doorstep was a redline for years now. So thats probably the reason. Obviously there are other reasons too but that seems to be the main one.

“ Follow the $$$$$$”

This is about the NWO folks in Davos doing a major money grab. Ukraine is the diversion. Putin sold whatever soul he had to the Davos Devil. What’s the worst that can happen? All out war? Someone has to build the weapons and support systems. Government is buying it. Probably from people at Davos who have major financial investments in the companies producing the systems because this can escalate quickly.

As this progresses, there is significant escalation in fighting. States of emergency are declared in the EU and the governments representing. The US joins and declares a State of Emergency. Biden is charge, a Democrat held Senate and Congress and the people who were weeded out of this countries police forces are not exactly Conservative friendly.

Ammunition is low in the US while ammo prices have grown significantly. Just sayin. When the police come a knockin, it becomes all out civil war. Again, just sayin.

With my tin foil hat on I would say that this is a possible outcome to the current events. I looked at it this way. If I am the evil genius who runs “Spector” how would I take over the world? I would build a council, code named “DAVOS” and run these extortion plots against other countries.

That’s my next James Bond movie. It will come out on audio in early 24. No narrator yet, but thinking about Daniel Craig.

Look the “my way or hiway” Attitude is just going to get people killed and Start WW3

There a Big Big Big difference between two side saying this must BE OURS.. and saying that other side must stay out

Putin (or the West/Nato) saying that ALL of Ukraine including the Crimea and that Russia majority area must be in our camp...no

Saying the other side must stay out..(both stay out) or it get split Crimea and the Russia majority area go Russian.. the Western Ukraine go west.. maybe

But let say clear.. the Russian did not just make up this issue last week..

When we finally convert ourselves over to solar and wind, will we claim that so-and-so invaded such-and-such because their land had more sun and more wind?

Apparently it is to tank the Russian economy, get thousands of people killed, and ruin what little was left of his reputation. And push the world to the brink of nuclear war.

Some would say the man had lost his mind. Others will claim this is a globalist lie. I don’t think so, we can get back to dealing with the globalists when Vlad is done and gone.

Because sleepy Joe is president.

One thing's for sure, having some guy in the White House who acts like "Gomer Pyle drunk & on drugs" sure didn't slow Putin down any. Probably made him laugh, though, which might have caused a planning meeting or two to drag on a bit...

;>)

Oil and NATO. Now that the conflict has begun I predict that Putin will not -CANNOT- accept a military defeat in Ukraine. Watch for him to keep escalating things.

I like Nates take on things, but did not watch this video. This subject is outside of his wheelhouse.

1. Russia has repeatedly stated through diplomatic channels that it is unacceptable for Ukraine to be admitted to NATO.

2. The US has exerted a policy, basically unchangedsince the 1940's, that has its aim to push Russia back territory in order to mitigate nuclear threat.

3. As part and parcel of this policy, Obama likely funded the Maiden protests (Same money as Occupy Wall Street) and then executed one of the most obvious coups is the history of coups. https://mate.substack.com/p/by-using-ukraine-to-fight-russia?s=r.

4. Russia has validly perceived that the US policy of receding their borders and conducting a coup in Ukraine as threatening.

5. The area named Ukraine since 1920 and Russia have been the object of some of the most massive and destructive land invasions over the past 1,000 years.

7. US entities have benefitted vastly from the coup and the ensuing corruption.

8. US policy has paid lip service to Ukraine moving out of the Russian orbit, while knowing that it would do nothing to put Ukraine in a military position to do so.

9. The Russians knew that US was giving only lip service to Ukrainian moves to the west.

10. Eastern and southern Ukraine were part of Russia (Novorossiya) for more than 300 years. Novorossiya contains developed manufacturing assets, access to the Black Sea and the largest proportion of Russian primary language speaking population and trading assets (Odessa and the mouth of the Dneiper downstream from Kiev)

11. Biden was the guy that had final say in approving the Maidan coup - having a war during his Presidency is an added bonus.

11. Since 2014, Russia and vastly decreased its dollar holdings and has increased its holdings in gold and other currencies, which gives it far more opportunity to defend its currency.

12. Economic sanctions will hasten trading for oil in Rubles and cut another chink in the US armor of the Doller being the world's reserve currency.

13. Economic sanctions will make it more likely that the Oligarchs will repatriate their assets to Russia.

14. The devaluation of the Ruble and the increase of prices for manufactured goods will provide an opportunity for investment inside of Russia in manufacturing assets. 15. A protracted war will increase oil prices and food prices (due in part to lack of fertilizer now) precipitously for western countries, while Russia will be prepared to survive.

Peace will be accepted on these terms: 1. Zelinski and Neo Nazi (Azov Battalion, etc.) and corruption hung around their necks are out. 2. Ukraine has a constitutional amendment that it is demilitarized nnd non-alignment with military alliances, specifically NATO (Compare Austria).

The claptrap from the US media and politicians - arm Ukraine, send jets and implement a no fly zone and short sighted and dangerous.
