Zelensky pleads for US military aid, says if Biden acted sooner ‘there would not have been war’
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky chided the Biden administration for not slapping sanctions on Russia’s Vladimir Putin sooner in an emotional, approximately hour-long Zoom call with 280 US senators and House members Saturday morning.
“If you had started sanctions months ago, there would not have been war,” he said, Fox News reported.
Zelensky thanked the US for the assistance it has already sent, and pleaded for additional American military aid for his besieged country, a Senate source said.
Dozens of lawmakers unmuted themselves to thank Zelensky for his bravery as the call came to an end – with some pledging “Slava Ukraini” — Glory to Ukraine, a source told CNN.
The embattled Ukrainian leader expressed support for a potential US boycott of Russian oil, in response to a question posed by West Virginia’s Sen. Joe Manchin, the Senate source said.

In the case of iraq, some estimates say 800,000 people died from the time Chimp started his illegal invasion of a sovereign until Iraqis finally told Uncle Sam to go. All those deaths for a lie. This is a good thing. The more Z blames B the better. The left-wing media has been promoting Z big time and they also make it sound like B is leading the NATO alliance, an obvious fiction. Z criticizing B blows up the left media narrative.
That Z is a whiner and wrong about lots of things is OK by me (details in posts above), just let President Z keep blaming B for this.

One is a hyperbolic, vapid teenager who screeches about an abstraction, and the other is a guy in the crosshairs who sees his country being blown up around him.
I do know that it would be easy to stay out of the Russia/Ukraine mess by not supplying any weaponry or logistics to either side and that includes NATO members. Unless Putin is a physco and attacks NATO, we have no dog in this fight.
While I know that Biteme and shadow handlers want a war, I'm sick of watching the body bags come home as the USA tries to nation build over so long.
I prefer we pull back and let the World know if you attack us or allies, you're open season from the wrath of American military power. No more sissy Rules of Engagement (ROE). We can still get to any place in the world and rain hell upon you, including collateral damage as in WWII. Leave us alone or face the consequences.
The U.S is becoming more like the opposition in the Cold War. Was a time when Uncle Sam intervening maybe had some merit because it was anti totalitarian. But now it is pretty much akin to the worst of control freak states and has lost any moral authority to lecture any one about the rights and wrongs of military interventions. Let’s see missiles placed in host countries close to the U.S and see how respectful they are of national sovereignty.

Ukrainian lack of diligence does not excuse the Russian invasion by any means. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian government was negligent, and their country is paying the price.
