Democrats have lost their self-preservation instinct and their will to live.
The Democrat Party is on the wrong side of every single issue -- borders, law enforcement, parents vs. teachers, inflation, Critical Race Theory, school choice, cancel culture, lockdowns, masks, individual freedom, gasoline prices, pipelines, wokism, unrestricted abortions, and a president who has dementia, just to name a few.
Does the party have a death wish? We have all known persons who are self-destructive. That behavior can afflict groups as well as individuals.
The Democrat Party and the left foster self-hatred. They believe that our country is irrevocably racist and is destroying the planet by using fossil fuels.
The Democrat establishment and most of its voters are racked by guilt. Unless they join a monastery, they have no choice but to participate in the system they believe is destroying our future.
The Democrats have lost their self-preservation instinct and their will to live. Just look at the party’s lack of concern about its hemorrhaging loss of support among its traditional bases -- blacks, Hispanics, Asians, mothers, and independents. The breadth of the damage is unprecedented. In all likelihood the party is too far gone to ever regain its former status and influence.

In a word .... YES.
For now, I don't believe that but hopefully, after the 2022 midterms I'll change my mind. The dropping of the mandates is about Democrat survival.

Much of the democrat establishment are retiring now because they know the party is dead and nothing can save it communism takes another blow.
Democrats need to do one of several things. A) Blame all inflation/depressions/recession on Trump or Putin-Hitler. B)Redo the Party saving Covid pandemic panic on a new panic—New illness or War. C) Start a Civil War to totally suppress the Republican-Conservative opposition. D) Use panic and fear to get power and keep it—old school. Knowing this we need to unite and not be divided. It will be hard in the face of the Nation killing acts of the Left—remember it is the real enemies are the RINOs who say they are with us but only to stab us in the back at the right moment.
