Russia-Ukraine updates: Captured Russian troops weep as they admit to killing innocent Ukrainians
Russian troops slaughtered a Ukrainian policeman’s family, including his newborn baby and 6-year-old daughter — all while his brother heard it in a phone call, according to reports.
Policeman Oleg Fedko, 30, was working in the Kherson region when his parents and partner picked up his kids to keep them safe last Thursday, the day Russia launched its war, according to The Sun, citing local reports.

Putin wanted government change and territory annexation, probably most or all of Ukraine (based on his theory and practice that all Russian speaking/formerly Russian speaking and culture-related people are property of Russia). Is there something there for one duly elected govt and sovereign nation (even if they/it are/is corrupt to some extent and struggling economically-) to negotiate over? Hmm.

Still, I would expect some sort of manifesto as to why it was just and moral for Russia to invade Ukraine and what they hope to accomplish and why that will be good for whole world. Instead we got silly stuff like “Ukraine really isn’t a country!” I can’t believe the Sov, er, Russians have slipped that much.
IIRC, publishing photographs (or video) of POWs is a war crime.
