The problem for Russia is they too have Millennials and Generation Z kids, raised on videos, stolen music, rap and video games.

Not as much the West, and certainly Putin has fought some of that but still, the younger generation is the problem.

They’re a generation or two behind us. Say where we were in 1968.

When the young women go out to protest the young men will follow. I’m sure this will lead to a Russian Kent State much sooner than it happened here, but who knows.

Why do you think that China would rethink invading Taiwan? We need to know what you are thinking.

That was Russia’s plan in the Ukraine but we played the game like Democrats.

China is hoping both its rivals will clobber themselves for a long time. China will enter the war at the end, resolve it, and become the greatest power.

The media’s switchover from using Wade-Giles transliteration to Hanyu Pinyin (specific to Mandarin, and approved by the CCP) was quiet and largely not noticed except by those paying attention.

Time Magazine’s 1979 Man of the Year edition featuring Deng Xiaoping was still using Wade-Giles. (I sometimes refer to the current Chinese dictator as “Hsi Chin-p’ing” too, for nostalgia’s sake.)

I suspect Xi’s massive military is much better prepared to take Taiwan than Putin’s was to take Ukraine.

Taiwan and Ukraine are quite different

Taiwan’s status hasn’t really changed for China. Yes, China still wants it “back” - but Taiwanese haven’t declared independence, they haven’t moved to any military alliances with the West, as Ukraine has. In China’s eyes, there is no threat at the moment.

So they will continue with present slow moving plan to tie Taiwan’s people and economy to theirs.

Putin/Ukraine has helped them - so far. In that Russia is now making overt moves to push back against a US unipolar world.

In related news, Chinese leader Xi Jinping swiftly demoted the social credit of Chinese Putin fans, declaring, “I am their Dear Leader, not Putin!”

“China will enter the war at the end, resolve it, and become the greatest power.”

Interesting, like the USA did for WW1 and WW2.

Taiwan supports the West with electronics.

China wants to end that, and I think, quickly.

They needn’t do landings. Instead first fire a salvo of short range missiles to destroy the semiconductor fabs and the other critical manufacturing facilities and infrastructure such as power plants, petrochemical plants, etc. Then implement a blockade of Taiwan that interdicts all commercial shipping and air transport with Taiwan.

Taiwan is the size of half of Indiana, and it is between 125 and 200 miles off China’s shore. Shore-based anti-ship and antiaircraft missile systems can blockade the island without invasion. Commercial shipping and air transport would not be able to get insurance, and would stop.

One thing is for sure.

The world is now full of people with really clean brains.

The US "media", RINOs and democrats, Chinese media and government, and those of countries around the world for one reason or another are brainwashing people.

Trying to figure out what is propaganda and what is real is almost impossible.
